Wood with another goal.

That’s what confidence can do to a player. Shame that we did our very best to deflate the morale of our players with all those shenanigans during the summer and after.

These performances are just rubbing salt in the wound mind. I'd don't care if he wouldn't have got into our starting XI. We had a 21 year old local lad who loved the club and is currently looking like a quality player, and we sold him for fucking £15mil. He looks a lot tidier than Willock and Longstaff have so far this season

Who we couldn't have sold.

More like Rooney than Messi re: footwork, and more like Chris Wood for Newcastle than Messi for finishing.

£35m and a handsome Greek chap well received.

Chris Wood has 20 goals in 40 league games for Forest ffs

Their 3rd highest goal scorer in prem history behind Collymore and Roy.

Anderson with another assist.

Chris Wood has moved level with Stan Collymore on 22 Premier League goals for Nottingham Forest - only Bryan Rob (24) has scored more for the club in the competition.

Half of Isak’s problem is lack of decent service… you could say the same about Chris Wood when he was here too..

Absolutely. We need to get the right hand side sorted and the mids firing more.

Chris Wood is enjoying a purple patch at Forest, but we definitely did the right thing getting £25m for him.

We paid £25m for him. We got £15m back.

It's bigger than that. With Wood type strikers there is no use playing inverted wingers because on the rare occasion they do cross the ball, it is swing out from the striker and much harder ball to finish with a header. Forest don't play inverted wingers and that plays to Wood's strengths.

TBH that is probably EH's biggest weakness, he plays players to his system, instead of a system to suit the players he has, often negating the players natural strengths.

That's not what NUFC fans were saying when Wood was missing chance after chance.

He did good for us when he was here, but it wasn't all about his goals.

I'm happy for the lad that he is  on he way to being a Nott'm |Forest legend.

Fair enough Dr Clipboard, but my point stands that we absolutely didn't do the wrong thing in selling Wood. We were all pleased, in no small part cos we'd had to watch him carthorse it about in some pretty underwhelming performances.
