Holden McGroin 7773 Posted Wednesday at 09:37 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:37 (edited) Yeah. we've hit a massive milestone by winning something this season. It might be subconsciously easy to take the foot off the pedal slightly which wouldn't result in a good run. Whatever happens we can look at this season as being great. I'd love us to get CL but if we don't then im still happy. Edited Wednesday at 09:38 by Holden McGroin

The target for the season must have been qualify for Europe and win a cup and they have hit both objectives. I honestly never thought I’d live to see the latter during the Ashley years. Anything from here is a bonus but it was great to hear the likes of Trippier and Bruno talking about wanting to finish top four now. They have a single focus now with no distractions. I think they’ll do it. They showed in the games against Liverpool and arsenal - and on the nine game winning run - that they’re good enough to do it.

Think tonight and v Palace might be harder than they look on paper, they’re both very good away from home. Howe said they used the 2023 final defeat as motivation and we won 8 from 10 in the run in. I think we’ll need to do something similar but the circumstances are very different this time… Brentford and Palace are very good sides. Neither of those will be easy. But we should win both if we turn up with the right attitude and we’re not fucked over by a ref. My main concern is Joelinton getting another ban. He’s only one yellow away from another suspension. We've 2 months where our focus needs to be solely on qualifying for the CL.

wykikitoon 23351 Posted Thursday at 05:38 Share Posted Thursday at 05:38 Apparently Van Dijk should have had a red last night. Shocker he didn't get it.
PaddockLad 19360 Posted Thursday at 05:49 Share Posted Thursday at 05:49 And Diaz was offside in the build up to their goal. If this is given Isak’s disallowed goal in the final should’ve been too

Love how sky gets the graphics lad to display the rules up to condemn the tackle, I can think of a few times that graphic might've been shown on our behalf but you'll be lucky if you get a 'he maybe got away with one there' before moving on and forgetting about it. 2

Ayatollah Hermione 14832 Posted Friday at 06:22 Share Posted Friday at 06:22 I don’t think this Spurs team is fantastic and Solanke was always going to struggle to replicate Kane’s goals alongside an aging Son but they shouldn’t be that fucking bad. The amount of times Chelsea would clear the ball out their box and it would land, unpressured, to another Chelsea player was unreal. Spurs look like kids running about

Holden McGroin 7773 Posted Friday at 07:13 Share Posted Friday at 07:13 They used to be able to control games and looked deadly up front. I think they’ve taken a massive confidence hit and don’t seem to be able to pull themselves out of a rut. Son is a shadow of his former self as well. I watched Clery's vid on Spurs and he's got a few ideas about why they've become so poor. On some of the stats they're a top 5 team but they let themselves down with decision making in the final third (not in a general sense, more specific to the style Ange wants them to play). They also get countered on a lot when they lose possession which in turn leads to the whole team needing to sprint back multiple times per game - this leads to injuries which makes the poor decision making in attack more pronounced as rhythms between players can't be achieved. I don't know if it's true but it was interesting to listen to.

I don't know if it's true but it was interesting to listen to. When they had their the strongest 11 out last season they were a force but their recruitment has been poor and they’ve had a load of injuries. Archie Gray will no doubt be a good player but he has been awful every time I’ve seen him (which may be a bit harsh as he has been played out of position a lot). Yeah they have indeed been hamstrung by their management as well for sure, I don't even know why Levy runs a football club, he clearly has no interest in winning anything. Have to admit, I don't mind that they suck. They'd absolutely be rivals to us if they didn't so long may it continue.
thebrokendoll 10579 Posted yesterday at 10:16 Share Posted yesterday at 10:16 so then this afternoon's late game, what are we hoping for? I'm going for a feisty, bad tempered 0-0 draw with multiple season ending injuries and everybody else red carded for violent conduct and facing a minimum 3 game ban. hordes of militant tgwu members who worked at the british leyland plant then kick the scab cunts arses all the way up the motorway back to nottingham. Aye draw definitely. Watch that third point go up in smoke. If I had to pick one to win, probably Forest - they can finish top 5 as well as us. It's much less likely that both us and Villa can finish top 5.
Alex 37327 Posted yesterday at 10:39 Share Posted yesterday at 10:39 The fact Maddison joined them so he can live in London and his lass has better photos for Instagram sums up the type of club they’ve been for as long as I can remember
