MLF's would've been proud of that mini pitch invasion after the equaliser plus one of the fans grabbing the corner flag.

Last Merseyside derby at Goodison, easy to forgive them for celebrating a draw as if it was cup final win.

Their derby record at Goodison Park will now forever be 41 Liverpool Wins. 41 Everton Wins. 38 Draws, and they'll never have the chance again to tip the scales.

I'd have celebrated too, I forgive them but they're a funny bunch, last ever derby and it was really quiet at times, they can create a toxic atmosphere for their own team but invade the pitch for an equaliser, not just from that corner of the stadium.

They are a strange bunch. Proper "wee man" mentality. I didn't even watch it tbf. More interested in how Celtic got on against Bayern.

They were on a hiding to nothing in the away leg regardless of the result tonight but Bayern knew they were in a game tonight. That Daizen Maeda lad, I knew he was fast but the cunt just blazed through a two match ban in just one game.

They're not called the Scouse Mackems up here for nothing. Very, very similar but probably even more bitter than Sunderland if possible given Liverpool's success. :good:

Are they still known as the Bitters outwith Merseyside? I always just assumed that nickname came about as sort of national reaction to the locals insisting on calling them the Toffees. Like the rest of the UK just collectively said "look at the nick of this wee guy that thinks he can decide on his own nickname".

Bottles being thrown. Stay classy, eh Bin Dippers?

And hit Pickford too. He always has trouble with shots from distance.

Saw someone make a great point about all the NW and Southern refs who've shafted us through the years and barely a peep from anyone, Manchester refs doing our games at old Trafford, local refs doing our game at Chelsea, Merseyside refs doing our games at Anfield and this is fine. A NE based ref does any game these days that doesn't involve NUFC at all and there's conspiracy theories flying all over the place particularly from the usual fans of the entitled clubs. Suck it fucking up.

Absolutely delighted to see that they think they've been hard done to.

Also I don't know what Slot said to the ref, but he went up to him, shook his hand and said something, and as soon as Michael Oliver had his hand back he produced the red card.

So the stupid cunt has obviously thought he can make himself look like a great bloke for the cameras whilst sticking the boot in on the ref.

Shiny headed knob.

It was reminiscent of the prolonged handshake between Conte & Tuchel a few years back. I suspect he's likely suggested partiality towards Everton, so rightly sent off.

VVD can fuck off too. Whatever you think about Doucoure's decision to celebrate in front of the red dippers, if he's going to condemn his actions, he needs to do likewise with their own fans. I'm glad it happened - the Merseyside derby in recent years / decades has become a bit of a damp squib. Needed some fire. Well done Doucoure!

I've got a mate who was at someone's house party and Michael Oliver was there. He reckons he spent the whole night anytime anyone approached him with a look on his face that said "You got me. Yes I'm THAT Michael Oliver."

I only watched the 3 minutes highlights;. did Liverpool have anything to be that upset about with the equaliser? Or was it just the celebrations afterwards where it kicked off and they had tanties?

On the final whistle Doucoure ran over to wind their fans up. Curtis Hairline Jones chased after him and it became a bit of a melee. Jones and Doucoure got sent off and then Slot did his "hey I'm a nysh guy" handshake act and he got his orders too.

Nowt to do with the equaliser.

There was a VAR check on the goal wasn't there? Must admit when I watched the highlights I have no idea why. Unless it was efforts to avoid Liverpool losing points.

It was one of those "is there ANYTHING we can chalk this off for" VAR checks where they just run through the whole passage running up to the ball going into the net. There was nothing wrong with any of it though.

Basically your classic VAR atmosphere ruining joy sucker of a check.

Mind, having seen Man United go through to the next round of the cup from a goal where 3 of their players were offside, I'm not sure we should be going back.
