He was merely Clark Kent with a lovely jaw structure. Welcome to being human.

We all knew it would come to an end its just astounding how quickly we fell of the cliff. Rayvin 5636
5 hours ago, LondonBlue said: Last night was typical of City over the last few months. We have no legs in midfield, which is emphasized by Rodri's absence. This was an issue last season too but Rodri masked it, Gundogan's return has made it worse. We have major defensive issues, yes Stones returned for a few minutes last night but that's countered by Dias getting injured. Hopefully the 2 new defenders hit the ground running. Khusanov looks a monster. Supposedly very quick and hits like a train. It's been said that he's too quick for his own good so i see a few reds for him. Reis looks very intelligent. Both of them only 6ft1 though. Omar Marmoush looks the dogs bollocks, Wonder if he's KDB replacement. Apparently he can play as an 8 and all across the front, but prefers behind the striker. Our biggest problem is we've lost our control. Treble winning season we had Grealish and Bernado on the wings and they never gave the ball away. Now we have Doku and Savinho who give the ball away for fun. Next league games are Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs, Forest. I think we're cooked. I really enjoyed your game last night for the spectacle - I don't think PSG are suddenly a better team, just once their tails were up they really went for you. But equally I was bemused by the amount of times Ederson was putting you under pressure by misplacing passes or choosing the wrong options. I think you're just having a wobble this season, and I'm sure you'll be back on it once that wobble has been adjusted for. I am a bit uncertain what the Pep free future looks like for you though, when he does move on.

The new manager might trust the youth a bit more. Maybe we keep the next Cole Palmer. We have an excellent stadium and facilities and a good budget. We're part of a large football group. So that side of things should be good. Also we're now in an era where young players don't always remember Man United winning the league. Life is good if a little turbulent right now. Oh and i've long thought quick counter attacks were the way to beat us. It seems we're no longer press resistant which is a shame.

Actually on a separate note, I read something in the Athletic a little while ago which suggested that City were scoring fewer goals as a team now than they were before they had Haaland. I know that's not a perfect science with all the other variables in play, but is that something that any City fans are saying at all, or just media noise? aimaad22 4434
Speaking of excellent stadiums, I've never been in a European stadium so speaking completely from a TV viewers perspective, but stadiums like the Etihad and Emirates are really meh to me. I dunno if its mostly got to do with the general lack of atmosphere from their fans but surely some has got to do with how the pitch seems far away from the fans, how they put the away fans right in front of goals etc. There's something really generic and artifical about them too. The big Spanish and German stadiums feel so much better to look at, again from a TV screen at least. Spurs' is just slightly better imo and West Ham's absolutely and utterly shite but they probably don't care getting it for free. If we do move from SJP I really hope they go for something unique that can retain the atmosphere and not these generic olympic type stadiums that seemed to have popped up everywhere. It's a weird one as he obviously prolific but he's made us more predictable. You never used to know where the threat was coming from. Now it's obvious. On the other hand we won the treble in his first season so i can live with that. Think it's actually down to Pep to try and figure out. Big Erl doesn't really seem a Pep type forward but he'll be there a lot longer than Pep now so maybe we need big Sam next to play the percentages for him (not really). God help everyone else if Pep figures out how to maximise Haaland. Haaland is our Shearer. Bleeds blue. Maybe we should have switched Haaland for a midfielder at 2-0 last night, but we're a bit short in midfield. Nice problems to have.
