My mate had Tyler Adams and Joelinton both to get booked on Saturday….there wasn’t an option for “in the same incident!!! 🤯

after their disallowed goal we all put a tenner on a Kluivert hatrick at 8-1 😎

When the fun stops, stop.

In all honesty, Betfair offers a free £1 acca every so often and one of those ridiculous 7 game accas came in at about 10/1, so I had a little cash in the account. Then there's a £5 free bet builder if you bet £5 on a bet builder. I put Joelinton to commit 2+ fouls, Bruno to be fouled 2+ times and Gordon to get a shot on target, which usually come in at around 1.8/1. So won around £15, plus the £5 free bet builder.

I've been doing that same bet for the past few months. and it keeps coming off. So I get about £10 profit, plus £5 free bet builder.

Man City take the lead in Paris with a goal from Jack Grealish… they appear to be wearing a strip designed by whoever was responsible for this :cuppa:

Edit: 0-2 Haaland, obvs…

PSG all over them. Hopefully Man City keep playing like this in the run up to our game. They look so vulnerable to the press

Anyone watching the goals show? Never really watched it before this season. Apparently it used to be all journos on the panel and it was, in the opinion of some, much better…. It’s not bad tbh, Matt Smith is always ok, Hargreaves & McManaman (meh) and one of those smug posh footy journos who enjoy chuckling at their own cleverness :)

Not playing like this they won’t

Don’t think liverpool are all that, city will hit form. Even if they don’t they will close the gap, then break some more rules and have a stellar team next season. Enjoy the premier league, its a level playing field for everyone.

This version of Man City look vulnerable and have probably left themselves too much to do this season, even if Liverpool stutter.

I’m sure they’ll be back next session after they refresh their squad but after watching that game I think we can get something at their place if we have a go. They hated being pressed - PSG were so good at closing down passing lanes, they even made Ederson’s distribution look poor.

Just watched the extended highlights so admittedly haven’t seen the whole game.

Ederson is a busted flush, the rotating goalkeeper thing has never worked. A keeper needs to know his defenders, even the subs. At least 3 of those goals are Edersons fault.

They have no legs in midfield, Rodri papers over some cracks because he is so good but their central midfield is SLOW.

Once it hits though they will go on a run. Sticking by my hot take.

I only watched the second half but it was one way traffic after Man City’s second. They couldn’t live with PSG’s press, which makes me feel optimistic about playing them because we can definitely get at them like that. I was also surprised by how aggressively PSG closed them down because I don’t remember them playing like that against us last season at all

Last night was typical of City over the last few months.

We have no legs in midfield, which is emphasized by Rodri's absence. This was an issue last season too but Rodri masked it, Gundogan's return has made it worse.

We have major defensive issues, yes Stones returned for a few minutes last night but that's countered by Dias getting injured. Hopefully the 2 new defenders hit the ground running.

Khusanov looks a monster. Supposedly very quick and hits like a train. It's been said that he's too quick for his own good so i see a few reds for him.

Reis looks very intelligent. Both of them only 6ft1 though.

Omar Marmoush looks the dogs bollocks, Wonder if he's KDB replacement. Apparently he can play as an 8 and all across the front, but prefers behind the striker.

Our biggest problem is we've lost our control. Treble winning season we had Grealish and Bernado on the wings and they never gave the ball away. Now we have Doku and Savinho who give the ball away for fun.

Next league games are Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs, Forest. I think we're cooked.

It’s like when Superman gives up his powers in Superman 2. He was merely Clark Kent with a lovely jaw structure.

Both me and City have a looong history of being human.

We all knew it would come to an end its just astounding how quickly we fell of the cliff. Feels a bit like the days after me and the first wife separated.

I really enjoyed your game last night for the spectacle - I don't think PSG are suddenly a better team, just once their tails were up they really went for you. But equally I was bemused by the amount of times Ederson was putting you under pressure by misplacing passes or choosing the wrong options.

I think you're just having a wobble this season, and I'm sure you'll be back on it once that wobble has been adjusted for. I am a bit uncertain what the Pep free future looks like for you though, when he does move on.

Weirdly i'm quite relaxed about the Pep free future.  We'll bring in a top manager of that i'm sure.

The new manager might trust the youth a bit more. Maybe we keep the next Cole Palmer.

We have an excellent stadium and facilities and a good budget. We're part of a large football group. So that side of things should be good.

Also we're now in an era where young players don't always remember Man United winning the league.

Life is good if a little turbulent right now.

Oh and i've long thought quick counter attacks were the way to beat us. It seems we're no longer press resistant which is a shame.

Yeah fair enough.

Actually on a separate note, I read something in the Athletic a little while ago which suggested that City were scoring fewer goals as a team now than they were before they had Haaland. I know that's not a perfect science with all the other variables in play, but is that something that any City fans are saying at all, or just media noise?

Speaking of excellent stadiums, I've never been in a European stadium so speaking completely from a TV viewers perspective, but stadiums like the Etihad and Emirates are really meh to me. I dunno if its mostly got to do with the general lack of atmosphere from their fans but surely some has got to do with how the pitch seems far away from the fans, how they put the away fans right in front of goals etc. There's something really generic and artifical about them too. The big Spanish and German stadiums feel so much better to look at, again from a TV screen at least. Spurs' is just slightly better imo and West Ham's absolutely and utterly shite but they probably don't care getting it for free.

If we do move from SJP I really hope they go for something unique that can retain the atmosphere and not these generic olympic type stadiums that seemed to have popped up everywhere.
