Other Games 2024-25

I wanted Man City to win for our sake, but there is something pleasing about the fact that Pep's frankly boring style has stopped working, even if it's likely only temporary.

They're so static and regimented, it's like they've had all excitement drilled out of them.

Indeed, I don't enjoy them dropping points to teams we're competing with whilst they're stone cold out of form.

Saka got taken off in the first half yesterday holding his hamstring. Wouldn't be a shame if he was still holding it when we go down there for the semi.

Be nice but shouldn't matter Hall (and Burn before him) own him.

He's fucking class like. Play 10 games against them and he'll get the better of Hall and Burn in 7 out of 10 easy.

My post was not a serious critique 😂

Look at what he’s done to Grealish. Like you say, it’s dull as fuck

His unpredictability caused players to panic and cause mistakes. Now he's boring AF.

He looked like their best outlet yesterday and spent most of the game in acres of space wide on the left. The rest of his teammates seemed too intent on treating the game like a Rubik's Cube to be solved, than to actually use him all that much though.

I thought Grealish chose the wrong option going to man city which seems crackers looking at the stuff they've won but to me every time I see him he's in the wing where at Villa he'd drive on through the middle. Purely on his development it was a mistake imo. (He still gets picked for England because he's not going to be dropped playing for a CL team especially under Southgate).

Even when he got the ball he didn’t drive on, he basically walked for 3-4 yards before showing any intent.

They really have lost it, must be well into the players heads by now and opposing teams won’t be going into games thinking they’re half beaten before they start.

I can’t remember a fall from grace in football quite as dramatic what’s happened to Man City. It’ll be interesting to see if they turn it around as they look a shadow of the team that won four titles in a row. No doubt they’ll have rediscovered their form by the time we play them next

To be fair, Man U post Ferguson is definitely up there.

Welp SV98 lost to last place Jahn Regensburg 2-1 smh. Bad loss for Die Lillien but we are still just 4 points from a top three position headed into the winter break and some injured players to come back so still have hope we can have a good second half of the season.

Just put the global PL feed on for Man U v Bournemouth,  Bournemouth 1-0 up and there's genuine angst and worry for Man U. Lads, you're supposed to slightly favour the underdog. Sorry? Oh right, you are favouring the underdog. :good:
