Geordie Boyo 24
Newcastle head a trio of clubs chasing Egypt's Ahmed Hassan. (Star) Who? Newcastle's top stars want Scott Parker to take over from Alan Shearer as captain next season. (NotW) Sounds good to me. You want a midfield general in the centre of the action captaining the side and I see Scotty Parker being a great influence as captain there. Newcastle will make a summer swoop to land former defender Jonathan Woodgate on a pay-as-you-play basis. (NotW) Total bollocks, like. If he did come back here thou the pay as you play basis certainly sounds like a fair deal and I'm sure he'll agree due to the amount a bad luck he's had throughout his career.
