I'm still not convinced it's quite that straightforward.  I understand where those figures come from, but I get the impression it's not quite as easy as that.

I think it becomes redundant at the end of the season anyway since the rules switch over to the UEFA model.

My view is we are hoping to pick the bones of the clubs that are scrambling to meet the criteria before 30th June. We’re hoping to be Brighton and get a Minteh type at the expense of a club that has been a bit daft.

I'd like to think so.  I can't see us going for many mega money deals so being in a position to sign players relatively cheaply would make perfect sense.

I think clubs like Villa, Chelsea, Forest and Everton are sailing close to the wind.  Maybe even 'United'

Howe says in his press conference that the sales made this month didn't give us any positive headroom to spend in January, and that they always knew January was a month where there would be no incomings. So that's that.

Not like Howe to tell a porky in a presser….

Anyway, Big Bitch has a huge summer ahead of him.

The Kelly money won't (for the most part at least) hit until the summer so it's not a massive surprise.

I don't believe him. So £30m of sales keeps us on the right side of PSR? Who the fuck were we selling if we'd bought Guehi on top of that?
