What will he find first? His razor or a masterplan ?

You know he has crossed his arms to hide the egg sarnie he has spilled down his top.

I think we got a little more than what we would have gotten last summer. What do you think @The Fish?

Well, I'd say £100m would be the very bottom of what we could expect to spend

An explanation from him would be nice. But we won't get it. There's a real cost associated with publicly disclosing our financial situation for all of our opponents. It's a shit situation really. Say nothing and get criticised. Hold a press conference and say nothing of substance to protect our interests. And get criticised.

It's just one more aspect of following football that has arisen because of PSR. As fans we want exciting players to come to us. We shouldn't have to give this much of a shit about the club's financial position.

This isn't to say that I'm arguing that these topics should be left alone or that Mitchel et al should be trusted because they are the experts. I struggle to see how specific  expertise for our situation could exist. We are a unique case. Nobody in world football has experience with a club in our position. We are ManC after the rules brought in to stop another ManC. We're the test case for the rules designed to stop us. If Mitchel and co succeed they are succeeding against the intentions of the rules as they currently exist. Are they that smart? Maybe. But it's not a matter of blind faith for me.

I dunno. It's a tricky one. More transparency would be great. But what they can safely tell us is probably the square root of fuck all.

Wonder if we’ll get a convivial debrief with the lads this month, now that our esteemed and elite Technical Director is solely responsible for what happened last month?  Tbh, I think it’s highly unlikely :cuppa:

How to assess Paul Mitchell, a handy flow chart.

Too soon to assess.

Ignore what he said.
