My mate keeps arguing Mitchell is stealing a living.

Hard to make the case for him based on evidence so far. He needs a big summer

Mitchell was hired July 4th 2024.

Summer window closed August 30th 2024.

January is always a difficult window to do business, let alone for a club with tight PSR restrictions.

I'm not really sure what he could have done by this point?

It's not like it's all really down to Mitchell though is it. Our transfer dealings and PSR permutations would have been vetted and approved by other top officials above him, just like any actual moves we make.

If we do sign a few players and they turn out to be shite or not good value for money in the modern game that's when you look at Mitchell. Doing or not doing business and the timing of it really is a club level CEO/CFO decision.

who is demanding that?

we are one forward light in an area of the squad which was already light in quality and numbers.

if we let miggy go and we don't replace him, has mitchell done a good job? we don't have to sign our first choice future RW for £50m at this stage - i understand there are psr constraints - but isn't mitchell's whole schtick supposed to be unearthing stars of the future on the cheap? if we go into the rest of the season a body down, i think we're gambling on top four, - it might be a gamble that comes off, but it would be a shame if it didn't after the good work done until this point.
