Athletic profile

Sounds good.  I'm always nervous with these profiles, especially when they're being written because (at the time) he was thought of as possibly going to Man United - I read profiles suggesting Ten Hag was a genius when he was headed there.  But it all sounds very positive.

Interesting that he was responsible for Trippier to Spurs. He's certainly spotted some real talent down the years.

1. That a certain poster is a fan of two middle aged men spending an unusual amount of time together isn’t a total surprise tbh

2. Another poster is seemingly a fan of men in leotards, this checks out too

I just wish you’d both been more open about your feelings before now :jesuswept:

Aye. This can often be the worst time to buy, especially with Eddie Howe as manager as he seems to need time to get new players up to speed with his system and what he expects from them. We're doing okay and barring an unfortunate set of injuries I think we've got enough to qualify for the CL this season without reinforcements.

big gamble mind, miss out on CL and I think we lose isak, we also lose the upper hand to a certain extent on his fee too if he started pushing for a move.

we're also a return to his usual form for murphy from having to draft in miggy who was beyond useless on sunday.

strengthen now I think.

I might actually pull a Skirge and sit with SSN on all day today so I get the breaking news of who is being charged for PSR.

Given that no fucker can afford to buy anyone cos of their shit new rules, the PL should make more of PSR CHARGES DAY as a replacement for deadline day. Get Vince McMahon to produce it.

CL qualification hinges on keeping the key players fit. We have a top four starting eleven but it will only take a couple of injuries in key areas for us to drop off. So it’s a punt either way. Do you bet on them staying fit for the remainder of the campaign or invest now to boost our chances of weathering injuries? The stakes are high. Securing top four again this season will increase our future spending and allow us to retain Isak, Bruno and Gordon.

It probably depends on whether we’re able to get any money in for outgoing players. The one area where the club hasn’t been brilliant since the takeover.

Difficult to see us spending the sort of money in Jan that would give us the impact that would make a difference though. Add to that the fact that Howe will bed them in for at least a month or two.

Difficult to sell crap players on long contracts for any decent money.  I suppose the fees they did get for our more marketable assets was okay.
