It's fine margins, win today and he'd be a legend. But when you really look at it one could say England might have had 2-3 trophies in the last 10 years if they had a brave manager. Gordon, Palmer and Watkins ought to be furious at the lack of opportunity they were afforded given their efforts in their time on the pitch. Hoping to see the back of Southgate now, his tournament record is unquestionably very good, but this euros has been fucking dreadful to watch. As manager Southgate has done everything right apart from the tactics. After so many years in the role he should be thanked for his efforts and shown the door.
