I know it's silly to think this at this stage, but surely it would be worth considering also starting with Kane on the bench and giving Toney or Watkins the opportunity to get at the Swiss defense? Then change it up by bringing Kane on.

if the change in formation is as some predict then maybe it makes sense not to change too much personnel wise

-----------Pickford

---Walks - Stones - Konsa

Trips - Mainoo - Rice - Saka

------ Foden - Bellend

----------- Kane

Left footed Saka and right footed Trips on their preferred foot.

Space for Trips and Saka out wide.

Mainoo will push forward, it's in his nature ( i'm not sure his defending is that good so that's okay )

but they need to trust each other in tight spaces and move the ball quickly especially when they're set.

i just hope it's not the same old back 4 setup

I'm no tactical expert like but Southgate persistently gets less out of this team than the sum of its parts. Think a decent manager would have seen this team properly compete in WCs and ECs. Also they're shit to watch. Never mind, as you were...

Might be harsh to say we haven’t competed like  Get the sentiment though

He's a flat-track bully and nothing more, always has been. Good for penalties against Panama and not much else. His movement for the Saka cut-back was beyond parody. It'd be one thing if we were creating chance after chance but half the time he's in the centre circle when the play is going on ahead of him and we fizzle out.

Foden is a great player but he has done literally nothing at this tournament. It's time to make a change, it isn't working out at all for him, get him off. Gordon has been desperate to make an impact, much like Toney, we need to consider changes before the 87th minute.

Yeah that’s the two obvious changes, but he won’t make them.   Live by the magnolia, die by the magnolia.

BBC pundits waxing lyrical about this performance. It’s been shit

better than what we’ve been watching this tournament aye, but absolutely garbage still.

Im struggling to stay awake here. Every match involving England is lust shit to watch. Maybe I've been taking over by the hype but surely Foden, Bellingham, Kane et al. are better than this?
