Clearly not quite up to scratch now, but he’s one of those lads I can’t help but like. If his skill matched his effort he’d be a world beater, but it doesn’t. Best of luck to him wherever he goes. Arguably his purple patch last year fired us into the Champions League. I can't dislike him either but it's definitely time On the bright side that point means that win the next two games and we are sixth no matter what. Can't complain about that considering how bleak it was in December
Isegrim 10357
I do like Miggy and think he often gets treated very unfairly but it is definitely time to upgrade.
Ayatollah Hermione 14686
Miggy is the kind of player who, because of his work ethic, you can forgive some things but if we get a top class right winger, the uptick in quality will be night and day
Gemmill 49975
Isak was ill yesterday and still not properly right today, apparently. Just underlines the need to replace Wilson with someone who can be available in situations like this.
PaddockLad 19013
Brighton came to do a job and ref fully facilitated it the absolute fuckin cunt. Midfield radar was off for all those who dwelled in there, final ball consistently atrocious. Not sure why Miggy dived (??) looked like there was contact but he made a fuckin banquet of it, daft cunt. Just south of Durham on train, already regretting life choices
Gemmill 49975
The most infuriating thing with the Miggy dive was, he was away. The defender had fully committed himself and the ball was beyond him and rolling into the box. All he needed to do was run onto it. So stupid.

Toonpack 11373
fuck me, the Miggy hate is preposterous. When he came on we actually had a threat on the right second half, a marginal offside and he's satan. Barnes missed two gilt edged chances (all but sitters) where's the vitriol for him. Gordon was utter shite second half after a good first half (apart from the header he shouldered). As a team we were flat, still in our hands.

Holden McGroin 7625
It’s same Longstaff / Miggy / Burn axis of hate. When they get upgraded I wonder who’ll be next in line.
Gemmill 49975
Cheerleaders only. No criticism allowed, regardless of how warranted. The lad took a really stupid dive at the end of the game when he could have advanced into the box with nobody on him. It deserves criticism and it's the latest in a long line of daft decisions from the bloke.
Holden McGroin 7625
I thought he played well when he came on. The whole team was a bit lacklustre today. I’m not sure if the press, then sprint back 30 yards every time the Keeper drove it low to Wellbeck helped. Tino skinned several times first half, then when he got ball in great positions, hasn't picked a final ball to a black and white shirt all day. Gordon, terrible 2nd half. Barnes couldn't hit a barn door today. But aye, Miggy. It's tiresome. Yeah the dive was stupid but others are way more culpable today.

Christmas Tree 5105
Fairly straightforward game of two very equally matched sides. Either could have taken all 3 points. No grumbles apart from Miggy being a dick.

Tino has been outstanding generally this season. He had a poor first half but he was great defensively in the second. Going forward everyone was rubbish. Barnes had a shocker I agree but again he's generally been good for us. With Miggy it's constant facepalm stuff. The purple patch last season was the exception, not the generally poor to average performances highlighted by cut backs and infuriating decision making we've seen in his time here. As others have said. Good lad, will remember him fondly. But it's been clear for a while he's not good enough for teams chasing or aiming to chase honours.
GrahamTaylor5 1172
My take on the Miggy situation was that he was expecting contact and reacted accordingly. There was no contact and it ended up being a dive. If there was contact, we would have loved him for it. Bruno did the same to get a free kick about 5-10 mins later and there was contact, he went flying and there was a yellow card. It is frustrating that he misread the situation as he was better to run onto the ball. I like the work ethic of Miggy but, I think both him and Murphy are not the standard of RW we want to start games and I think, although Miggy has more potential, Murphy is able to offer us more. When Miggy went on his run last year, I though Howe had managed to help him not only become more composed infront of goal, but also read the game better. I don't think that now though which is a shame.

In a sense you're not entirely wrong, but these were at opposite ends of the pitch, Miggy was through on goal, Bruno was bringing it out from our box. Any half decent defender is going to avoid contact in the box, they don't when they're outside the box and looking to stop a potential counter attack. Context is key. There was a period where Miggy stopped going to ground easily and suddenly he started scoring more and generally being a more productive player but after this time out through injury he's reverted to his old tricks. 95% of players don't have the pace to have got to the ball like he did, and that's why he's so damn frustrating, gets into dangerous positions and then wastes it with a silly decision.
