she's right. i've always said that too. in my memory it was a volley from the half way line. in reality it was a half volley from standard range i think.

That cup final replay is probably my first football memory although a bit blurry.

I remember we were winning 1-0 in the final until Tommy Hutchison scored a long range headed own goal late on. No one saw that coming. Typical City.

Don't think we bothered with a replay...

You can perhaps recover more quickly but I can’t think of many instances where male professional athletes are at their peak in terms of performance levels at that age

I wasn’t an athlete but at 17 I had completed a year of intense army training plus boxing training. I had my accident when I was 20 so I will admit I am an outlier.

It was more in response to people (seemingly to me at least) suggesting Miley’s age meant he wouldn’t suffer from fatigue as much. There are obvious advantages to being so young but downsides too, things like still growing and not having the built up the stamina levels of someone used to playing 30+ premier league games in a season. There’s probably mental fatigue too when you’ve give from never having played at that level to starting week in, week out. I think there’s a case for him starting tomorrow though as Longstaff looks a shadow of the player he was last season and is said to be carrying an injury

I was probably the fittest I have been at 17 playing sport all year. However I wasn't professional sports fit and those weren't far off the days when you had a cigarette at half time. 🙂

3-0. Haaland and Foden double with Livramento buckling his knee which keeps him out for 3-4 weeks.

Murphy to balloon a shot over from 35 yards.

Do you stand up or sit down to wipe your jaxy though?

You've posted the relevant number of times for this to be okay.
