Our midfield has disappeared tbh

We definitely have to change something to give some players a kick up their back side. I would bring on Anderson either for Almiron and shift Joelinton to the left wing or either for Joe or Bruno.

We can’t complain about the score line and will be lucky if we manage a draw tbh

I don’t get why Joelinton and Tonali are pushed so far up, we’re struggling to control the midfield when we absolutely shouldn’t be and it’s because we’re stretching our own CM while Brighton are staying as a compact unit.

Tonali is a great player but too similar too Bruno. Maybe willock coming in will balance the midfield. With Joe today it's been painfully one dimensional

Who do we get on for Bruno? Anderson?

Whoever it is, a message needs sending to him that he's nowt like the player we signed.

Too busy changing nappies and having shit hair styles atm

Bruno looks unfit and unhappy out there, complete opposite to his sharpness and confidence last season.

Hope they get bollocked by Eddie at half time. That was half arsed rubbish again.

Get Anderson on for Joe. And add a goalkeeper to the January shopping list, Pope lost it yet again.

Behave man. He was one of the best keepers in the league last season

Bruno needs the hairdryer treatment but Joe has been worse. He's the one needs subbing.

Were are toothless in midfield which is completely at contrast to our usual game..they're winning all the second balls. Miggy dropping central to try and pick stuff up.

Joelinton has been off a bit, as he was against Man City. It's the way teams play if they move it around quickly he doesn't get a chance to turn it into a physical battle. I also wouldn't say it's us being toothless though, they move towards the ball when their defenders have it and pass the direction they're playing. They want opposing midfielders to press into their backs because after the backwards played ball it can take them out of play for the next progressive pass. At its core it's really basic stuff, but it's effective when you do it as quickly and naturally as Brighton do. If you take a little nibble and get into their back you give away a free kick.

That’s the problem. No control in there. I hope Howe, when he makes the necessary changes alters the shape a bit and doesn’t do his identikit winger for winger and striker for striker. We’ve actually had enough chances to be ahead mind. For all Brighton’s control. Agree with your earlier comments about Targett. He’s all at sea (not helped by the lack of midfield cohesion).

Shearer listing off the errors that led to their goal. Thankfully not everyone is keen to gnaw Brighton's knob off trying to compliment them for being gifted a goal.

According to Shearer. Two errors each from Pope and Tonali (lazy clearance and then didn't close down). And Trippier dives in for no reason. He's 100% correct. Terrible goal to concede. Lack of the right attitude more than anything. And we've been equally as shit going forward.

Would be a pathetic way to go into the international break with the wonderful CL fixtures coming. Get a draw here and get some sort of momentum going ffs.

One thing laking to quality sides but we're self destructing 2nd game in a row here and it not one month into that season.

We’ve needed a proper 6 since the takeover, I still don’t understand why it hasn’t been a priority. West Ham and Forest bought Alvarez and Sangare who would have both filled a key role for us. We have Bruno and Tonali both trying to get up the pitch and Pedro in acres of space as no one will sit. There’s also no fucking easy ball out from the back, so we end up booting it under pressure right back to Brighton.

That’s the only positive we can take from the first half: they only scored because a plenitude of errors while we managed to waste very good chances early on.

Yeah. It's easier to accept being outplayed (at least in the long run) but two bottle jobs in a row going into the international break. That's not a good sign. It would seem to show at the moment that the team has been distracted, perhaps by CL football, because we've been massively off the ball the last two (arguable three games) and we haven't even got to the CL matches yet when the distraction turns into tired legs as well.

What a load of shit. Our 11 look as though they’ve just finished their Sunday dinner, with pudding, before taking to the field. I just don’t understand our style of play. So lethargic and lack lustre.

Hope Eddie hasn’t peaked. Need a bit of nouse to change things around rather than just sticking with his favourites.

And Pope ffs

Yup. Can't believe we didn't go for that and a CB. Seems we targeted good players becoming available rather than the positions we needed to strengthen.
