A dub is a version / remix of a track. It’s sometimes an instrumental but will at least emphasise the musical (especially drums / bass) elements over the lyrics. It comes from being short for ‘double’ as in remix, usually a B side of the original. The name comes from Lee Scratch Perry who would do bass heavy versions of reggae tracks with spacey synths and less or no vocals. This sound became the reggae sub-genre known as ‘Dub’. 8am here probably refers to the remix being a more chilled ‘post club’ version. And Nush are the remixers, known for their ‘Handbag House’ productions like ‘U Girls’.

Obviously

Here he is, Dr Pop

Prefer Ragga or Raggamuffin myself - which, as you will know, is also a subgenre of reggae but one that pushes the techno aspects of dancehall reggae even further. It ditches live instruments altogether, building songs with only digital sounds, whoopee cushions, red stripe cans and triangles

I like it when used on jungle tracks but otherwise, not so much

Guest MrRaspberryJam

Fair play for letting Colback join in with the celebrations.

It’s just taken nearly an hour for Ryan Christie to score v Gibraltar :scotsman:

I feel I may have to lower my expectations for continent-wide domination this summer :cuppa:

Out of interest, I wonder what the make up of the crowd will be at SJP tonight regarding fan take up/where they're from? It'll obviously be billed as a 'Newcastle' England game but I wonder who got the tickets and how easy it was? I wouldn't be amazed if I found out at least half the crowd are from outside the NE.

England have been desperate here. Southgate won’t even consider taking any kind of attacking risk in a friendly against Bosnia ffs. Right back in midfield, centre half at right back and a right back at left back. With Gallagher in there to keep it tight
