4-3-3 is our base formation but during games, situationally,  we’ve gone 4-5-1, 4-4-2 and even 3-5-2 at times. Howe’s not as inflexible as is sometimes portrayed I reckon.

yeah, i would agree but i don't think he fancies playing with a traditional number 10 style playmaker just behind the striker. he wants athletes. runners that will graft going backwards as well as forwards. it's why there was no room for ASM, and i doubt maddison would have worked

he reminds me of matt le tissier (minus the conspiracy theories). class technical player but he's doing nowt the other way and isn't going to work hard enough for a lot of managers in the premier league.

He's a fancy boy who likes to do the fun stuff and also fall over.

He's a runt who looks like a.... complete and utter dickhead of the highest order who probably regularly tries to indulge in autofellatio only thwarted by the fact that he's got a Gemmill sized cock.

It sounds daft to say it, but all Barnes offers us is goals.

Gordon might have scored less this season but when he's on form he terrorises full backs and drags the whole team up the pitch with him. I'd happily sell Barnes if it meant we could afford a Gordon type player on the RW

One trick pony, useful trick and he might not like it but he is a game changing sub, nothing more. Offers zero in defence, build up play or even as a long ball outlet.

TBF, if there were great offers for both Barnes and Gordon, especially on AG's current form (and by current I mean all this season bar 100 odd minutes) you'd entertain selling both.

The whole squad needs a shake up, Eddie might like loyalty but truth is, if any of his players got an offer from a club they saw as a step up, they'd fuck off before he'd hear the rumours.

He could be the big one to go in Jan along with Miggy and maybe Trippier. I’d rather not sell him but if the rumours are true and we have to sell to me of our better players to buy, and we get the money back for him to finance a move for a right winger, it wouldn’t be the end of the world. It hasn’t really worked out for him here and we have loads of players who can do a job on the left and fuck all down the right.
