We've got two weeks of him left before he's off back to Italy on loan.

We all get stuff wrong.

Didn't you say Isak wasn't suited to be a number 9 about 10 games ago?  Now he is being hailed as the best striker in Europe.

I said he seemed to be struggling physically against imposing centre halves. Which at the time was true. It was when we were going through our shit spell and he seemed completely isolated and was getting dominated physically.

no, that was sammy. he argued passionately that isak's best position was winger and that he wasn't a CF.

Fuck off you boring cunt, my arguement was about how to fit him and Wilson in the team at the same time.

How about you just call yourself king a bit longer.

Tonali couldn't get a game ahead of Longstaff 9-10 games ago.

He'll still be off Italy. Im just pushing it back a year now. Summer of 2026 now. 😄

Because he wasn’t 100% fit, as soon as he was hitting his numbers he was in.

He was turning out 90 mins for Italy no worries. It was just Howe's way of introducing him to the first 11 without upsetting the balance and treading on toes.

Yeah, the idea that he "couldn't" get into the side is also bollocks. He was never being kept out of the side by Longstaff.

He was tried at RCM and we weren’t getting the results so Longstaff came back in for him.

The level he plays at it's just an absurd framing to claim he couldn't get into the side.

The truth is that he is effectively in his first season at the club, and was being eased in/finding his best position.

Listen, you made a terrible, terrible mistake, and were as wrong about the player as it's possible to be. We're all prepared to accept that and move on but you need to stop this silly talk about couldn't get a game.

Tonali's pace at 6 is such a massive asset. It seems like one of those things that you don't pick someone at 6 for specifically but if they have it it sends them into the stratosphere. He's brilliant. Fast becoming my favourite player. Looks like a roman God too.

I’ve never been wrong about him. I knew he had massive talent and desperately wanted him to succeed but it wasn’t looking good for him earlier in the season. He wasn’t in the team and didn’t look great at 8.  Eddie has managed to sort out the balance of the team by putting him 6 and it’s worked wonders.  He looks like a top lad and I’m chuffed for him.

If it wasn't for Isak, he'd be the talk of the league this month instead.

I think I remember you saying Isak wouldn't get into the team if we still had Shola btw.
