it was still a little rough but coming up in the early 00s when i first got here. felt like a cool destination back then. bland as fuck these days

I loved London when I first moved there but after a month I thought it lacked anything of substance. Fucked lasses from all over and came home thinking they're nee different. Just want looking after by a gadgie with a big cock. I'll keep looking.

I spent a fair bit of time there in the 90s. When I’ve gone back recently (mainly pre-covid) and spent a lot of time there for work. I dunno. I still like it but, but while I know everything has changed, it’s so fucking synthetic now in loads of parts. I quite liked one time I couldn’t get a hotel near Whitehall and stayed just off Euston Road. At least it had a bit of an edge to it. Not that I fancy getting stabbed but you know what I mean. Peckham seems canny these days

That doesn't sound gentrified though, it just sounds shit. 

Anyway, I remember the toontastic brief meet for the Fulham match when I think Allerdyce had just taken charge, the one we won 1-0 and it was FUCKING FREEZING. Come to think of it, all my coldest matches have been in the capital. One where we lost 4-0 to Spurs particularly comes to mind, Trafalgar Square fountain was frozen solid.

peckham is class and reminds of what shoreditch was like back in the day. really arty, cool pubs and restaurants and still has old peckham and new peckham but i sense the direction of travel might be the same as with shoreditch

Was an abysmal match too (the Fulham one). Chez’s Bolivian marching powder couldn’t even hide that

West Brom boxing day 85 when Ian Baird who was on loan scored for us was the coldest match in my memory. Officially Bastard Freezing to use the correct technical term. 

 

The infamous Stevenage 1-1 was brutal as well - horizontal rain in our faces.
