“Throughout my career, I have never talked about or really commented on the move rumours during the season. There have been many such years where it has been talked about. It doesn’t affect me."

"I am commenting on my situation in Newcastle, and I have never had any problem there. I am fully focused on my task there and that we will have a fantastic season. There are still great opportunities for that. I have no thoughts about anything else.”

“The only thing I can say is that a lot of information and rumours often come out. Much of what I read is not true. So that’s about all I can say about the whole thing.”

Sweden are also winning 6-0, Isak has no assists or goals and has missed a penalty

He seems to be a strangely poor penalty taker when there is no pressure on but superb when it counts.  From memory he has missed two for us, one was in a friendly and the other we were something like 3-0 up at the time.

They can Isak if they fancy paying £150m in cash. Otherwise, move along.

This is similar to us saying we should sign Mbeumo. I’m sure Brentford fans feel similar.

The difference being we don't have Shearer banging on about Mbeumo to us like they do with Merson with Isak.

Well let's see what happens then. When I was talking about this recently, I really meant that in a PSR constrained world, giant fees like Isak would command are not really the model anymore unless you're Real Madrid or a sovereign state owned club, cos they have the potential to buckle you.

If Swiss Ramble says that on paper they have the headroom though, then he'll be right.
