Kid Dynamite 7353
Isak just had a goal ruled out for offside because VAR didn't realise the pass went to Gyokeres https://x.com/agbnufc_/status/1858974004595617845

From memory he has missed two for us, one was in a friendly and the other we were something like 3-0 up at the time.
Dr Gloom 22727
They can Isak if they fancy paying £150m in cash. Otherwise, move along. This is similar to us saying we should sign Mbeumo. I’m sure Brentford fans feel similar.

The difference being we don't have Shearer banging on about Mbeumo to us like they do with Merson with Isak.

acrossthepond 905 Posted Saturday at 02:43 Share Posted Saturday at 02:43 Meanwhile, yet another article on Sky Sports about how he would be the perfect solution to Arsenal's striker problem.
Gemmill 47458 Posted Saturday at 06:59 Share Posted Saturday at 06:59 Aye he would be but they haven't got the readies or the PSR headroom, so fuck them.

Gemmill 47458 Posted Saturday at 07:21 Share Posted Saturday at 07:21 Well let's see what happens then. When I was talking about this recently, I really meant that in a PSR constrained world, giant fees like Isak would command are not really the model anymore unless you're Real Madrid or a sovereign state owned club, cos they have the potential to buckle you. If Swiss Ramble says that on paper they have the headroom though, then he'll be right.
PaddockLad 18031 Posted Saturday at 07:26 Share Posted Saturday at 07:26 Wouldn’t it be putting all their financial eggs in one basket though?…. unless they sell, which in a way defeats the object of slotting what many consider the final piece of their title jigsaw into place….
Holden McGroin 6999 Posted Saturday at 07:31 Share Posted Saturday at 07:31 He’ll need to up his game from set pieces, if he fancies a move there.

Yeah that's what I mean. Aye, he's the final bit they need to win the league, but it's also a massive risk to invest that much into one player. Not to say they won't take that risk if they've got the money/headroom, but they spent £100m on Rice and he's not exactly pulling up any trees this season. They'd make a loss on him if they sold him now. It's such an amount of money that it HAS to work. There's no margin for error at all. Dr Gloom 22727 Posted Saturday at 08:47 Share Posted Saturday at 08:47 There’s zero chance of us selling Isak to a direct rival for a top 4 spot in January. We’re not a selling club anymore. It isn’t happening. Fail to qualify for champions league this season however, and that might change. This lad should be playing champions league football every season, he’s that good. He’s already given us one season without it. He’s coming into his peak years now. We probably will be forced to cash in during the summer if we miss out. It’s a big incentive to make this season count

Christmas Tree 4941 Posted Saturday at 09:28 Share Posted Saturday at 09:28 Let’s not kid ourselves, most players are going to jump at any opportunity that doubles their wages. We are still a bit of a stepping stone for any worldies that we happen to get our hands on.
