Has it even been a few years? Could swear it's been less than two years since Howe/Celtic polava, and even less since the Newcastle takeover and Bruce sacking.

What you on about........all I've said is a CL spot would put us well ahead of schedule

Ah shit, I misread that. Think I must've taken "puts us a few years into the project" as "we're only a few years into the project".

My bad, I'm somewhat broken after a chaotic week. As you were.

Frustrating that ManC failed to do us a favour. They were pretty terrible throughout. Haaland barely had a kick. And the less said about the goal the better. Arsenal will have to seriously bottle it to lose the title because ManC right now are nothing compared to previous seasons.

Just think those 6 points dropped against Palace/Leeds/West Ham would have us 4 points behind Arsenal if you include 2 further points from the Palace home game, at least a point at Liverpool and we're a point behind them

Dyche has definitely blocked the odd toilet in his time. Probably a good appointment for them.

One gravelly swallow does not a summer make.

They did get the ball into the box a lot more than they have recently, but Arsenal were terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible.

Worst game for them in terms of good chances created (0.9) and permitted (1.7) since Leeds. That's despite having 70% possession, more than every fixture other than Fulham. They still kept the ball well, still created opportunities to score, but they just had one of those days where nothing came off.

Everton attempted 298 passes, less than against everyone else bar Man City, and their completion rate was 67.8%, lowest of the season. Only once have they attempted and completed more Long Balls. Still pretty passive.  They didn't perform much better than they have done under Lampard.

They were definitely better than I’ve seen them in a while on Saturday like. Just from an application standpoint if nothing else

Oh aye, they definitely seemed up for it. I just don't think they did anything in that game that they've not done in others. It just worked against an Arsenal team who were way off their game.

Better twisting with Dyche than sticking with Lampard from an Everton POV unless you think he's the long term answer and I'm not really sure the evidence of his career to date points to that despite the early arse licking he got every other week especially at Chelsea :quotes:early doors .:quotes:

With Lampard they were all but down, Dyche has enough about him to give them a chance. Dyche has never managed a side with with this level of expectation, he's never got the kind of points return that they need, and I don't say this lightly, fuck Everton.

How the fuck is Martinez getting away with that? They're not checking it or anything. Blatantly putting his studs in Bamford's face.

A second Leeds goal followed by relentless knee height tackles will do me for the second half.

I could watch it but have to stick to watching the FA cup and Mitro not to jinx it.

I'm a bit like that when I watch Sunderland, they win more than normal but luckily I hardly ever watch them so it doesn't really matter.
