I remember years ago Man Utd playing inter in the champions league. Zamorano, who was a top forward and could handle himself. Anyway he’s stepping backwards, in the opposition half facing his own goal waiting for a free kick to be played upfield. He backed into Jaap Stan and reacted like he’d just accidentally walked backwards into a brick wall. They looked eye to eye and Stam just gave a little smirk. Zamarano shit himself a bit. That boring story is my verbose way of saying Botman has a similar vibe about him. Has the lot and his being a big fucking unit is the icing on the cake

This. I agree eith your observation of Botman, too. It’s incredible what a good manager with a “plan”    can do. The impact both Bruno as well as Botman have had is amazing. It’s also a credit to the management that they didn’t rush the players but made sure to get the best out of the players.

Steve Bruce isn’t a bad shout for them. Look at how we’ve been performing lately and West Brom have won 7 of their last 8. If I were Steve Bruce I’d rock up to Goodison Park with the pitch, ‘appoint me and you’ll be in the Champions League in three years, providing you sack me in two’.
