What changed in this one though? Was the other one post-Brentford only?

No, the table hadn't been properly sorted, so the numbers weren't yet accurate. For example, Luton was way off.

In a shock twist, a certain doctor previously known for his hoverboard prowess and DJing skills has emerged as Toontastic's new stats guru.

His CV boasted about years of experience moderating internet message boards but the board's resident stat man Fish's reputation is in tatters after a succession of botched number crunching. "Accuracy is a prerequisite. We don't insist on being first, but we do insist on being right", said a furious so-called accountant.

A veteran contributor based on the South Coast blamed the mistakes on the news that Fish's wife is expecting a new baby. "Next thing you know, he'll be kissing his club badge", he complained.

Hey, it got my attention, got your point across succinctly too.

Now what you've got to ask yourself is this; do you want me to throw three graphs up in here, orrrr do you want me to go all loquacious again?

Statty Dave, or Chatty Dave. It's entirely up to you.

Sean's importance to the team can't be understated. It's no coincidence that Bruno has looked more like he did last season since Longstaff was recalled. The amount of work he gets through is obscene. He also played some nice cross field switches too - nice to see him playing those more ambitious passes - and he got his goal. Adding more goals would be a massive bonus.

Yeah I wasn't convinced on Longstaff last season because of his wastefulness in front of goal but I'm sold on him now. Vital player to the team, and frankly it's great to see given his background and affinity for the club.

Agreed, if he could be more clinical with his shooting he’d bring a lot of goals to the table as some of his runs and positioning yield really good chances.

If we’re being ultra critical his touch under pressure is probably the weakest of all our central midfielders but he’s unique in terms of the stuff he does off the ball. Great sides always have those unglamorous players who allow the peacock players to strut. There’s only Joelinton who compares really.

It’s going to be interesting to see what our first choice midfield is when everyone’s fit. Joe Willock was looking like an England midfielder last season, some of his assists and the way he glides up field with the ball, carrying it 20-30 yards at pace. Shame about his injury problems. All he needed to add to his game were goals and he is surely in the mix for a future England squad.

Then there’s big Joe, who surely has to start when he’s fit but is maybe better suited to left wing with Gordon on the right.

I’m not sure Tonali gets in ahead of longstaff when everyone’s fit. Or if he does, maybe Tonali starts at number six. It looked like he played the deeper role yesterday to free up Bruno to bomb on.

It’s a good problem to have, as they say.

He does these types of posts periodically, but generally they tend to for slightly more "glamourous" players

Bit mad to see how far he's come.

Romano became a one man Greenwood cheerleader for days on twitter, the cunt

This is definitely true, sure the very best teams have workmanlike players who are also unbelievable players in their own right, but it can't be overstated how important it is to have someone who's quite happy to do the hard yards (or 10km in Sean's case) to afford more space and time for the more technical players to shine.

xHY of 10K, not be sniffed at, not sure what his exHY were mind.

In all seriousness, it was obvious at Villa away last season what a miss he was tbh

As we progress and sign more technical midfielders, he could become our James Milner or Ray Parlour. The utility man/water carrier.

I’m not sure his technique is going to get much better at his age but he’s a massive player for where we are now. Arguably a first choice CM even where everyone’s fit given the results we get when he’s in the team.
