Gemmill 49280
Building a new stadium and whacking up prices. Let's hope that's the last lever they pull (ticket prices) cos there's plenty scope for improvement elsewhere before they start pricing people out of the match.

Thing is, they can have loads of boxes, matchday experiences, expensive "premium" tickets and so on, without pricing out the local fans. Honestly, fill the majority of a new stadium with varied but affordable season tickets say 70%, have a portion of tickets that go on sale to members (15%), the rest can be sold at a huge premium to tourists (15%). Have the new stadium able to host concerts, NFL, and all that shite.
Holden McGroin 7419
NUFC are struggling to fill the corporate spots now. I've had numerous cals this season to see if I was interested in x game and I noticed they discounted the prices for the Wolves game.

The latter we can improve with sound negotiations, the former we can only really improve by building a new stadium. I think we could significantly improve matchday revenue by upgrading SJP without the burden of extra costs of a new stadium. The bigger gap we need to close is in regards to commercial income. How much of that is corporate?

It's the corporate, the average ticket price ( I wonder if Season ticket income is included in matchday?), the cost of pies, pints and so on.

What do the likes of Anfield or Stamford Bridge really offer that a refurbished SJP can’t? Same goes for Dortmund who might have a much bigger capacity but also much cheaper tickets. The nostalgia of SJP is also a huge asset that can get monetised too.

Well, to be honest Wolfgang, I don't think that's any of your business.

Kid Dynamite 7541
Callum Wilson's injury record since he joined the club must surely be the worst we've had since the PL started?

Optimistic Nut 440
Unless there's a monumental fuck up by the English teams leading up to the Quarters, it's basically aim to finish top half of this 6 team mini-league. Holden McGroin 7419
Man City and Chelsea will come strong and potentially Villa if they get knocked out of CL soon. Bournemouth worry me, especially as they have an injury crisis and are still looking formidable. Should be an exciting run-in. Optimistic Nut 440
A lot of pressure on Watkins. They won't have the luxury of Duran coming on for 20-30 minutes when they're chasing a goal now. They'll probably sign someone as back up but someone who's had Duran's impact is going to be hard.
Gemmill 49280
Whaddya know, they were working on the stadium plan all this time. Silence did not mean nothing was getting done. 😋

Morgan is a threat, but you're right, there's no real striking options if Duran AND Watkins go.
Optimistic Nut 440
Oh aye, they'll still have threats, but Duran has been a literal game changer first half of the season from the bench.

There’s no chance of Watkins going now but I look forward to a few months of pundits aghast at the sight of Villa having the temerity not to hand over one of their best players to Arsenal.
