Looks like the Saudis are putting more money in. It’s only £35m so could just be to cover running costs or maybe something like land for a new training ground.

"Only" £35m, what have we become 🤷‍♂️

interesting take. i thought that's why we signed tonali - to free bruno to play further forwards and to have two midfielders who can pass forwards. it hasn't worked out that way and bruno remians the lone creative force centrally in our starting line up but his starting position is so deep he isn't often able to play those balls that unlock the low blocks.

it’s an easy assumption to make and largely fairly true.

The 22-23 season we could suffocate and smash teams.

23-24 was largely a write off because of the injuries (although we had some great memories). We seemed free scoring most of last season.

24-25 - struggling to score and not as mean defensively as the 22-23 season.

we thought we’d evolve in  23-24 to be a more possession based team as we seemed to struggle the season before with 3 games a week.

it just hasn’t happened. We need a few better technical players in the team. I’m not sure why Tonali can’t seem to displace Longstaff. That seemed an inevitable evolution.  Having said that I’ve said he won’t work out since day 1. Very few Italians make it in the PL.

Trippier being injured/out of form/past his best can’t be ignored either. He is critical in calming the defence, retaining possession and creating chances.

im not sure we’ll see him at those levels again and Tino is a different full back completely. All cut and thrust.

Tino is 22 years old.  I think that will come with experience.

Absolutely. When Trippier was that age he was turning out for Burnley in the Championship. He’s just become a first team regular, hopefully he’s learnt from Tripps of what to do on the pitch and what not to do off it.

The truth is Gordon hasn’t hit the heights of last season but he’s still looked one of our biggest threats when on the pitch in most games. He’s had the odd poor game but which player hasn’t? He is clearly an asset.

Look, let's get one thing straight here. What you write your erotic fan fiction about is your business. Just don't share it on here, okay? We aren't interested.
