I would think the glaring gaps in our sponsorships (training centre and SJP) are awaiting this ruling. No point doing a deal under the current bollocks rules if there's a chance they'll change.

Man City APT case separate to the 115 charges carry on. Significant for us and may partly explain the last two windows . @LondonBlue do you know when this is this being heard?

Stefan Borson on x just tweeted on the APT case.  he suggests the case concluded a while back and that it's outcome is still being written up.

doesn't sound hopeful based on that tweet but hopefully the tweet is about balance and managing expectations.

This seasons cup is mental. Almost all the big hitters are still in it because of that European bollocks which basically separated them last round. We’ve  got very little chance.

You never know, the bigger sides are more likely to rest players for this as the prize money is peanuts. That said they often have the depth to rest players and still have loads of quality. If nothing else now that it's at home this is a chance for us to try something a little different with not a lot to lose.

If you don't want to be a "plucky underdog" and you want to become a big hitter, you've got to beat the big hitters.

that would be the dream but we have more chance of winning it if we spawn a few cup draws and then have a one off match v big hitter in the final.

Aye but Pep aside all the other managers are going to want to win a cup and this presents them with the easiest opportunity.

I'd rather lose to a big hitter before the final tbh, sick of losing finals to those cunts.

think Pep said that we're not going to waste energy on the league cup and will play youngsters.

at first that sounds disrespectful but pep always wants to win everything. but the extra champions league games and potentially 7 additional club world cup games means something has to give.

i guess its an "opportunity" for the youngsters. although tottenham away might end their run early on.

Narrator:- this did not end their run.

and another link .. BREAKING: Manchester City appear to have secured a potentially significant victory

of course the PL postponing a vote could just be whilst they reword their dodgy APT clause

Said elsewhere that this won't be the end of this kind of rule, but it will hopefully be a loosening of the shackles.

I can't imagine we'll see "Aramco @ St James' Park" for £300m, or anything. But we might get more money, for more APT deals, more quickly.

Isn’t the case about whether it’s anti-competitive to block the deals? Not sure a rewording would work in the instance.

You win this and we can effectively do what we like. They’d tie themselves up in knots trying to justify why certain deals aren’t FMV. We’ll see you at the top soon.

Top of national league north that is.
