How is he only seeing a specialist this late? We realised that our previous specialist was looking at the wrong knee?

At this rate it will be a 90 min award ceremony for Liverpool.

What remaining nerves I had for the final are gone now tbh. This is a free hit.

There's been no confirmation that Isak is out yet, wait for that and for Joelinton to have a setback and why not throw in another Tonali betting scandal.

Horrible news. If this bloke can't get fit, we'll soon need two big name CB signings. We have a lower PL level CB pairing without Botman.

If I was Howe I'd be resting Schär against West Ham and starting Krafth with Burn. Gives a break to Schär who has looked off it defensively and some minutes to Krafth ahead of the Cup final where it's looking likely that we'll play 3 CBs (with Livramento and Trippier as wing backs).

It's not a bad shout. I don't know if Howe will go for it though.

I definitely agree he'll play three at the back for the final. It worked well against Arsenal (even though it was markedly different circumstances). Keeping it tight, praying for some luck, and hoping to hit them on the break is our only chance. But, knowing us, we'll play well and everything will go to plan, only to be brought low by even more bad luck.

Liverpool are so good though that even hoping to be beaten by a bit of bad luck is wishful thinking.

We should pay a crack team of Everton operatives to set off some fireworks, but this time in the Liverpool players' hotel rooms. Get them in there a couple of days early rigging the drawers and cupboards and stuff.

Have them turn up to the game WW1 shellshocked.

The botman injury was handled like shit when it first happened, he was somehow allowed to override the specialist he saw and not have surgery iirc.

And here we are now, he hasnt been consistently fully fit since.

Also, it's not really that important a part of the pitch. If Murphy gets injured, we really WILL be fucked.

Yeah. That really exposes the risk of the Kelly transfer. Botman hasn’t been fully fit for ~2 years now and we’ve bought and sold his backup (and Halls). I guess money is more important than silverware.

So we need 2 new starting quality CB's now, Botman has a touch of the Woodgates about him, if he can't be relied upon to stay fit, it doesn't matter how good he is.

That's certainly one desperate take you'd go with if you were desperate to try and win an already lost argument.

I hope the surgeon is clued in on the fact that (according to some of you mentalists) the club is lying about which knee is injured.

Not really. You reckon Kelly’s was a deal worth turning down or he’d have likely made much difference? We’re hamstrung by PSR which had greatly restricted our ability to build a resilient squad quickly. That’s all. The money is absolute nothing to our owners.
