He wasn't the same player when he came back without having the op. I assume his knee wasn't right so hopefully its 22/23 Botman back.

Nobody involved was honest enough to say that his decision not to have surgery was wrong. I know it's hindsight but still...

It still amazes me that the decision was left up to him. Especially when his motivation was to play in the Euros. It isn't Netherlands paying his wages.

You can't force someone to have an op against their will.

When Sven is back, could he play RCB ? On current form BDB has to play IMO, I wonder if they could play together centrally, hmmmm.

I was thinking that the other day.  I would think he is very slowly introduced and then unfortunately Burn is dropped.

Agreed especially his passing

I think he’s at least one dodgy pass that turns possession over a game for the last 5 games. He’s becoming a liability in recent games tbh, and it’s scary considering how consistent he’s been for us.

He hasn't been alone, even yesterday it happened a few times from different players. I think Howe's mentioned this recently so behind closed doors I hope he's emphasising this even after this win as we've been punished for it and will get punished again if we carry on.

Not played any minutes since he was subbed off at HT v Bournemouth. Will he start v Arsenal? Seems odd to not even give him a few minutes.

Comes back after a massive injury and plays two 90 minute games then a half then nothing.

he should start ahead of schar, who has been well below his best rbis season

Both Schär and Burn this season seem to push much higher up the pitch regularly. But yes I'd agree Botman in for Schär.

Schar has just looked off it all season man. His Hollywood balls to no one are starting to boil my piss. Any manager who has done their research knows that’s what he tries every game. I think age might be catching up with him. I know Botman is coming back from a serious injury but he hasn’t done much wrong since returning. Looked much more like his old self then when he came back from injury before he had his op. He’s our best central defender. I know Howe loves burn but Botman has to start and if that means playing two lefties, fine

Agree, Botman is the future, unless he's had some muscle issues since returning I'd be starting him against Arsenal with Burn, and with Burn told not to push up the pitch.

Him and Trippier have gone past the point of no return. The one thing they were great at they can no longer do with any consistency.

It has to be Botman on Wednesday, he barely put a foot wrong at RCB and was spraying accurate passes all over.
