Basically the main argument against Pope is his distribution. This is illustrated using stats for 2022 which completely ignores the fact that he played the majority of those games for a relegation bound Burnley where he was instructed to launch the ball long. Whereas if you look at the stats for this season when he's been playing for us it tells a much different story.
