Is he using Trippier's missus as a motivational guru? This is very "sisters before misters" of him.

Getting paranoid about his hairline. We've all been there.

If his hair disappears then he'll have nowt to dye blonde which will mean he'll stop playing shite. He should welcome the bald - he's fucking useless as a blonde.

We need one of the stats lads to step up here but I thought it was the other way around.

Bruno was moved to the right-sided number 8 role and chips in with two assists against the league leaders, including that lush through ball for Isak’s thunder bastard, the type of ball he thrives on and has been mostly starved of all season.

Sandro looked great again mopping up behind him at DM. I hope this is the midfield we use going forwards. It was the perfect balance of creativity and industry. Liverpool had more of the ball but mostly it was in their part of the pitch - we won the midfield battle.

Let’s see if Bruno playing the more advanced role helps unlock the creativity we’ve been missing in central areas for what feels like forever.

For the first half, at least, looked like a triangle of big Joe left, Bruno right and Sandro anchoring them.

There was a period in the second half, when we conceded one of the goals, where Bruno was back as the anchor and we lost that forward ball option - right when Joelinton had that shocking pass?

Can't wait til he's got a hair horseshoe. It'll be nice for ewerk to see someone like him making their way in the world too. Good to have a positive role model.

seems to be quite a bit of stuff about Bruno's form. and the various reasons for that.

Two quick questions.

At his best what do you think his value is?

What about his value on current form?

ps. I haven't paid enough attention to be aware he had dipped.

Only ask as over on bluemoon some see him as a stopgap for our injury issues.

Where is he at his best?

No idea if you would sell or if we're interested btw.

If Rice is 100mill to an elite club so is top form Bruno

If you watch our game v Liverpool from 10 days ago you’d see top form Bruno, two assists, he was brilliant

That’s the only time this season you’d have seen that though. He usually plays well within his capabilities. Some of that is probably positional (he’s an 8 being asked to mostly play 6) but some of it is on him, and some of it is on the current situation at the club; as a project it’s stalled. PSR is the main reason and we’ve got to sell to buy. In other words I think anything north of 80mill will probably get him next month 😞

He's not gonna go for stopgap money, that's for sure. Hard to say what he'd go for but if I had to guess I'd expect bidding to start at £75m or something. And there'll be others on here who will say that's way too low.

Club captain, full Brazil International, proven PL performer who has def gone off the boil but would quickly be back on top in a team like yours.

I think Man City are more in need of a No.6 to stop teams being able to play through them so easily. Bruno can play that role but for me is better as a No.8 further up the pitch.

A bit hit and miss for a “top drawer” player IMO. If someone wants to give us £80m I wouldn’t cry to see him go. He’s a dude and all that but he just doesn’t seem to sway that many games in our favour.

short term, long term too, City need both a 6 and an 8.

our 6, Rodri out for the season and probably needs help anyway.

our 8, Gundogan is done. his legs have gone since his return from a season at barcelona.

our other 8 Kovacic is injury prone andno spring chicken.

Our midfield needs a complete rebuild. KDB is playing with a hernia and his best years are surely gone. Gundogan, Kovacic, Kalvin Philips, Nunes either never were or are no longer Pep standard.

That just leaves Rodri as a genuine midfielder.

Even our defence needs a rebuild. We sang Ederson & Ake, Walker & Akanji, Ruben Dias, Johnny Stones. Best defence in europe, we're manchester city, on our way to istanbul .

Of that list only Ederson hasn't missed at least a chunk of the season (and he's been dropped for form)

yeah i know you don't care.

So Bruno....

He might not be the solution we need but if our board think they can get him without weeks of haggling then i can see it. He definitely has the quality but is he a fit? Can't see us going over 80. Not even sure we'd go 70  if he's only seen as a stopgap.

In terms of City players being involved in any deal, i can't see who as we're so short on numbers. Bobb is injured and a prize asset (supposedly the reason we let Palmer go). McAtee is rubbish so you wouldn't want him.

Maybe the academy. Emile Heskeys boys are highly thought of? I don't know. I think we're funked.

Claudio Echeverri arrives January 1st. Maybe he's our answer.

ps only raised this as the press seem to be linking him. opposition view and all that.

If you’re desperate to rebuild the midfield then he wouldn’t be a stop gap.

i suspect Man City are going to splash some cash in January to get their season going again.

i think is class by the way. One of 3 genuine blue chip players we have.

i'm really unsure about january. we have a huge war chest. only brighton have more psr leeway i think. but i think players are too expensive right now.

Our new director of football Hugo Viana might have some interesting summer ideas. I'd keep the war chest for him .

In peps first season, the full backs were the issue. we splashed money across the back line and improved massively. We can see a similar vulnerability now. I've always said hit us with pace and directness and we're vulnerable. and i believe that is showing this season. I think we'll have a defensive rebuild.

who are the other two? i'm guessing Isak and ?

We've got Isak, Guimaraes, Tonali, Gordon and Botman are probably what most would consider our blue chip players.
