Excellent performance. You look at their squad versus ours on paper and we were every bit as good as them on the pitch and they won via a very dodgy referee.

It took ref's assistance and an absolutely brilliant goal to beat us .. Very promising with a "second string" !!! Convinced ASM is too expensive, risk wise, to play.

Agree on all counts.

Good. I mean this in the best possible way. You're gutted because we lost 1-0 away to Chelsea, playing our B side, aided by a fucking corrupt referee, a travesty of a result. But this shows you how far we have come. And whilst we are on the up, they are facing oblivion.

Not sure we deserved 3 points.  We didn't really test Mendy.  But a deffo red card would have changed the game. A pen nailed on.  Fucking gut punch that.

They did hardly have better chances tbh. It needed just one stupidity, superior skills and a shit referee

Good point about our missing players, like. I think you win that with Joelinton and a fit Saint-Maximin. Definitely with Wilson and Trippier, even though Manquillo did alright

First choice midfield since the turn of the year has been Shelvey, Willock & Joelinton. Not one of them played today and still we gave as good as we got in the middle. Cannot and should not be understated.

As people have already said the only positive we can take is that we're gutted and feel genuinely hard done by to lose 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, and with so many players out injured. It's tough competition in the premier league, but that's possibly the worst performance by a ref this season. Two clear cut decisions. Or at the very least VAR should have overturned the refs decisions. All this it has to be a clear and obvious error shite if fucking deliberately vague nonsense so they can get away with murder.

Aye. Whether someone buys Chelsea or not, the chances of them bankrolling them to the extent Abramovich has are low. I'm sure I was reading he put in £148m in the last year, and they owe him £1.5bn (which he's not now gonna get). Their glory days are at an end. Ours are hopefully just beginning.

Mike Dean begs to differ.
