If you could please form an orderly queue to offer your gratitude and congratulations to Paul Mitchell for this EXTRAORDINARY deal.

Slices of humble pie will be served later.

Could the last one out please turn off the lights?

If we can get cash for Trippier and Krafth in fit again then I'd be tempted to sell. His best years are behind him now and he will be on big money.

Not sure who is plugging the gaps on the bench like!

That's the issue, we're leaving ourselves very short if Trippier goes too. If the money is right though.

I know the rest of this season is important, but deals like this could be huge come the summer.

In the sense that Big Mitch is EN FUEGO. That's the only reasonable description for a man that has just fleeced Juventus for £20m for Lloyd Kelly.

If we had signed Kelly on loan with even an OPTION to buy him for £20m this month, there is no way we'd be exercising that option. I'm not even sure we'd be interested for half that amount.

i mean, sure. £20m for a lad we got on a free in summer is good business.

sort of feels like we're writing off the season though. it's gone from a season of genuine expectation to a free hit for eddie if we move on three and bring in none

Not really like cos neither Kelly nor Miggy were getting minutes. If we'd just sold Hall and Murphy, you could reasonably argue we were writing off the season.

Kelly and Miggy going is nothing of the sort.

they are bodies though, whether they're starting games or not. we have done the RW debate to death but were you happy with our attacking options off the bench yesterday? i wasn't

when the game started to get away from us howe could only call on Osula, who he doesn't trust to play for more than 10 minutes in the league, and Willock, whose confidence is shot. whatever you think of Miggy, we are an Isak/Gordon injury away from the end of our season - there is literally no one to cover the front line other than square pegs in round holes or kids at this stage.

it is a squad game and our numbers are dwindling. we are gambling on picking up our form while avoiding injuries so while i congratulate mitchell for getting £20m for him (if true - where is that story from?), i don't think howe is going to love going into the second half the season two with two or three fewer players to choose from

We're going round in circles here like. Of course the manager would always like more options, but we're talking about £30m+ got Miggy and Kelly here. Two lads that couldn't get a game for us. Thats crazy money. You can't knock it back.

Howe reportedly "furious" to lose Kelly, according to TBR Football

Different club, but I would fucking piss myself laughing if it turned out after they bought him that Kelly had a massive gambling habit.…

I've just ordered a CRATE of Ambre Solaire. I predict shortages in NE postcodes this summer.

Is it advisable for gingers to go out in summer daylight, even if slathered up in sunscreen ???
