They were reported around the same time.  IIRC we had agreed with Tosin before he got his head turned by the twats at the bridge. Kelly am fairly sure was signed due to Botman’s injury…

Yeah the point is not that the cover HAS to be Kelly, but that there must be cover. If there's someone coming in fair enough.

Botman, Burn, Hall, Targett, Livramento is more than enough to cover the left hand side of defence. Signing someone for free and flipping him for £10-15 million is exactly the shit you have to do these days, I’m afraid.

Burn is 33, Livramento is our starting RB, Targett is the Wilson of full backs and is gone next year anyway.

 He wasn’t free when you consider signing and agents fees, probably circa £6mill. 
 

He also has something none of our CB’s have which is top class pace.

 

He’s young enough, he covers a few positions. We need a deeper squad.
