Even if we don't replace him, he basically offers nothing there anyway. You could move Tino up the line and put Trippier in at right back at a push. 😀 Of course he offers something. He is very rusty at the moment but is good in the press and his build up play is fine. He is just a bad finisher. Livramento as RW won't work. We've got people that can fill in and offer just as much as Miggy on the RW. Clubs don't have RW INJURY CRISIS" headlines, do they? They do however have "DEFENSIVE INJURY CRISIS" because it's such a specialised position. There's a physical profile that has to be met, and the player needs to be drilled in that position. Stick any cunt with one working leg on the wing and they can fill in for 2025 Miguel Almiron.

This is astonishing. I mean, we can play Joelinton CB if we need to. He might not be very good but that doesn’t matter. I understand your hatred for his right foot and we all want to see him moved on but the squad will be weaker without him.
Gemmill 49835
So would you like to keep him then? I've made my argument, my position is clear. You're turning yourself inside out trying to make out that there's equivalence between the two situations, just to score a point. We're fucking DESPERATE to sell Miggy. The bid is decent money, and it's from the MLS who have a different season to us so arguably this isn't repeatable in the summer if we wait. I don't think we lose much at all if he goes, but if you want to argue that the contribution of 2025 Miguel Almiron is somehow something we can't live without, then fine. I would MUCH prefer that we replaced him this window, and I do think that arguably someone at the club has dropped the ball if he goes and we don't replace him, cos this isn't a bolt out of the blue bid. But let's see what happens.

Gemmill 49835
I agree Howe would want him replaced. We all would. I'd still let him go whatever happens this window though, in part cos I would like never to have to see him play for us again.
Holden McGroin 7566
I’m just flabbergasted that you spent all yesterday suggesting we don’t sell our 5th (of about 7) choice CB because we might be short then sell 1 of our 2 RWs. 😁 You’re then trying to back up the argument by saying he hasn’t played well recently (which is true) but this again could be used to beat Kelly with. I guess we just see what Big Mitch does.

Aye. He needs to work on his delivery. He seems to get the ball stuck under his feet a lot then dribbles his way out of trouble. He is looking superb defensively though. Big improvement.

I guess we just see what Big Mitch does. CB's we have; Botman (just back from an ACL) Burn Schar (currently ill / injured) Lascelles (currently fucked) Kelly We also have; Krafu who can play there, but is a midget. So we have 6 players for two spots. One of the players has just come back from an ACL so his game time needs managing and then we have another who's fucked with an ACL and isn't a starter. Out of them 6 we also have 50% the wrong side of 30 with Krafu edging that way. Whilst this isn't too much of an issue, return from injury / fatigue plays a bigger role. Burn has been immense but he's had little rotation. So whilst I don't think Kelly has been too great this season, selling him now without a player to back him up is fucking madness. On RW we have options that can get us by. Almiron has played 148' of football in the PL this season, avg of 7' a game. So can we do without him? Yes, he's gone. That should be clear to most.

Holden McGroin 7566
You’re still continuing with this? RCB- Schar RCB - Lascelles RCB - Krafu LCB - Botman LCB - Burn LCB- Kelly LCB - Alex Murphy (at a push) Kelly might not even make the bench when all CBs are fit. Barnes is injured now. Gordon is being kept on the left as he is wasted on the right. Miggy has been getting more game time recently because Eddie has worked out everyone he has tried on the RW has unbalanced us. That’s me done explaining the logic. I’ll let the brains at NUFC decide our fate.
