I simply point out your Everton obsession, for what it's worth, I hope you are right (one of these decades)

Fuck off with your "we've", Gemmill is the word you were looking for.

Eh?

Wtf is the point of this post?

You, however, can get fucked, Thompers.

You’re a waste of breath.

Everton are like a game of Frogger, everything is aligned for them to be smeared across the tarmac, but somehow they make it through.

Because most seasons there are three teams promoted that are shitter than them, as well as one or two that survived that are equally as shit as them who have had less luck in terms of decisions or injuries.

This season one of the teams coming up is better than them, the other is on equal footing IMO and Ipswich is a bit of a wild card but they seem pretty resilient. Everton are really relying on Wolves to stay in a state of financial ruin (and/or lose their manager to someone better), Forest to be equally as shit as this season (and also in financial ruin due to FFP), and one of Ipswich or Southampton to have a worse start to the season than them.

They have it much harder this season than they did last. If they end up on the wrong side of FFP again or they make a shit start then I don't the league table will be as kind to them next season.

That said, it's Everton and they could luck themselves to safety just as easy it they could fuck themselves early and often.

Thing is, they've played well enough to end up mid table this season, only Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City have permitted fewer goals per game and only them and Brentford and Palace have permitted fewer chances. Plus they've got a goalkeeper who is a very good shot stopper, so the few chances they give up are less likely to result in a goal.

Where Everton struggled is their ability to put the ball in the back of the net. They created plenty of chances, 12th overall, but only Sheffield scored fewer. Should they get a reliable goalscorer they'll be way up there.

Now, this was in a season where more goals scored than any other (I think?) so it could be that they're an outlier? Like all the other teams are conceding more goals, and they're conceding as many as they would in any season...

He's in for a shock

Who does he think he is man?

This all probably appeals to some of the more arrogant amongst the team's following (so about 80% of them), but it's doing him zero favours with the actual people he needs to negotiate with.

Ratcliffe and Ashworth are supposed to be the top of their respective games, but on recent evidence they're both gormless twats.

So since walking into Man Utd, Ratcliffe has demanded:

 - The taxpayer pays for their new stadium

 - Newcastle do the decent thing and let them have Dan Ashworth

 - Everton do the decent thing and let them have Branthwaite

 - Everyone returns to office despite there not being enough desks

 - That the staff he's brought back into office then vote on VR

Anything else been missed?

I can’t wait for him to be visited by ghosts on Christmas Eve. His redemption arc is going to be fucking epic.

Dummett, Ritchie, Hendrick, Kell Watts and Karius all leaving. It's like a new signing.

For some reason this reminds me of once hearing John Anderson describing something which totally went under the radar at the time but NUFC accepted an offer from the mackems for him. He described meeting Denis Smith at Roker Park but first driving away from SJP with Jim Smith shaking his hand, hoping the negotiations would go well, saying he'd been a model pro to work with and wishing him well.

After a tour of Roker and chatting with Sunderland John said he didn't think he could do the move as it mightn't go down well with the fans and he was settled in his house and been at NUFC too long to be able to play for them etc. Denis Smith said their fans would be fine as long he did the business on the pitch but Anderson said it was our fans that would worry him. Anyway he thanks Denis Smith but KB's him then returns to SJP and Jim Smith asks him how it went? Anderson tells him what happened to which the bald eagle went berserk saying he needed him off the books, he was being unprofessional, all the cunts etc and he'd never play for him again! luckily for Anderson Smith was sacked not long after.

Sooooo..... The moral of the story is, Ritchie and Dummett are great lads and have helped us in dark days and we wish them well but if they don't fuck off they're cunts. :good:

Good start to trimming the squad. Hayden and Fraser next please.

I imagine Krafth, Lascelles, Dubravka and Targett arent in the longer term plans. Gallagher probably cemented as our 3rd choice keeper.

Almiron, Wilson, Trippier all available for the right price too

I suspect we’ll offload Trippier this summer and Krafu will be reserve RB and cover for CB.

Trippier's contribution goes beyond his performances on the pitch. He hasn't been up to scratch there since December but he had a similar bad spell at Spurs. He's clearly a well respected leader amongst the group and promotes the right amount of professionalism within it; his value here is far more than we'd get for him financially imo.
