Agree, I was just thinking that Barnes really really likes to cut in and shoot with his right, where-as Gordon only reallly likes to.

If he goes we'll definitely miss Miggy's engine, but definitely not his right foot. In fact he'd probably not miss his right foot if it went.

We also have Murphy coming back soon. It'll be him starting down the right with Barnes as back up to Gordon until the summer IMO

I hope he can perform at his highest levels consistently, but for me Murphy is better as an impact player when defenses are tiring.

I think he's been pretty consistent whenever he's had a start under Howe but it's always been stop/start because of Miggy rarely getting injured. It'll be interesting to see how he would play with an extended run of games towards the end of the season - I think that may well be in Howe's thinking too.

Hopefully, he won't fall over in the first 3 minutes and bugger his shoulder again

It's bionic now after his surgery - fear not.

Which part of 7 mill with an obligation to buy do you people not understand?

Howe doesn’t fancy him on those terms. There’s over a week left of the window and things are plainly moving behind the scenes.

Anyway… ….

Here's me thinking Bayern were storming the league since Sky Sports never shuts the fuck up about Kane.

Oh the fee with obligation to buy, yeh, I get that.

West Ham have an OPTION to buy I think.

or like Holden said, we didn't think it was viable financially.  He's gone fair enough, but think he could have been a good option for us.

So far nothing has made me doubt the process we are going through so I am happy with it.

£7m for a loan that might not work out and no resale value

or

£7m a year for a £35m player who we can hawk to Saudi for twice his value?

if that is true, i would ask why. he looks like exactly the sort of player that would have helped with our midfield crisis. capable of playing number 6 or number 8.

perhaps we had concerns over his fitness, i dunno. i hope he doesn't turn out to be another diaby/madison. we have missed out on a number of players we were strongly linked with since last summer, all of whom did well elsewhere, while most of our transfers have underwhelmed for various reasons. i hope we don't live to regret this one too.

what's the point? surely the fee is going to be negligible.

What ever it is, will be pure profit in PSR terms.

Getting his wages off the books as well.
