wykikitoon 22731
How many players do people anticipate us getting? IMO a couple at most.
Gemmill 49717
The two you mention and another four from Saudi.
Ayatollah Hermione 14652
A midfielder to cover Tonali/Willock and that’s it, I reckon. Once everyone is back, it’ll be time to strap in and finish strongly
Holden McGroin 7541
Bruno getting injured/suspended is our biggest concern. No-one else can do that job now (Tonali would have been next in line) Edited December 2, 2023 by Holden McGroin
Chaser 1365
We've got to surely look at our forward options. At least bring a kid in who has the potential to burst onto the first team. Behind Isak and Wilson, the talent drops off a cliff. Wilson has probably a couple of years left with us and is still made of cotton wool. I love the guy and his attitude to be no1 but his injury record puts that to bed.

Maybe slightly better with his feet. But as a shot stopper, nah.

Holden McGroin 7541
In all seriousness. He isn't a bad keeper but he hasn't been involved with a team for 6 months so he is going to be extremely rusty. Dubs was superb v Man Utd in league cup so im happy to give him a chance. He has never let us down before.
PaddockLad 18954
He’s only going to be back up to the back up who’s now back up to the former back up so it’s hardly a proper risk
ewerk 33107
De Gea was on silly money at Man U. We wouldn't be matching that. It'd be interesting to see if he would be coming on a short term deal or something more permanent. Obviously he hasn't got offers from the sort of club he wants to join so even a short term deal would put him in the shop window.
wykikitoon 22731
He was on £375k a week at MUFC. He needs to wipe a good £300k off his expectations to join us tbh. 1
Gemmill 49717
4 months without a team, he's either making ludicrous demands (in which case this will come to nothing), or he's been getting no interest which weakens his negotiating position massively. Either way, he's not coming here on anything approaching silly money.
trophyshy 7308
Can we get a fucking striker first?
Ayatollah Hermione 14652
De Gea would be a proper Chelsea transfer and we’re better than that now

OTF 8396
Obviously I'd rather Pope who has been in great form lately, but Dubravka and Karius should be fine with Gillespie as further cover. The vigger priority still remains as a striker as it's much less likely that a GK picks up an injury, especially when compared to Wilson and Isak.
RobinRobin 12441
De Gea would be available immediately, given he is a free agent, while a striker will have to wait until January anyway. As everyone has said, though, he would need to temper his wages considerably to make it worth considering, given the current keepers on the books.
wykikitoon 22731
Imo we bring in De Gea and it upsets the dressing room. I don't think his personality is one Howe is looking for.

I thought you could register free agents anytime. We've done it in the past. The other usual suspects would be looking for a change in the rules though. 🙂
