Chiesa and Hernandez would be fucking ridiculous. Isn't that Italian journo one of the ones who've been on the ball regarding Tonali etc? I'll admit that I haven't watched a lot of Chiesa except for the last Euros where he scored a cracker against Spain. Looking at his stats he could probably score and assist a bit more given his skill, but reading about him he's definitely a Howe player given his extreme versatility being able to play across the front line and even in midfield, added to the fact that he's supposed to be very good out of possession as well in terms of pressing. Hernandez I'm sure people have seen more of. Pretty much the starting left back for one of the most talented French squads of all time. Or at the very least they have the deepest French squad of all time.

As nice as it would be the Hernandez link seems fanciful if you give it any thought. A starter for France and likely worth 60m+. Probably more than 60m+ actually when you see how much elite centre halfs go for.

A few years ago, Gianluca Di Marzio was the most credible person in the world when it came to commenting on transfers. I'm talking about 2012-14. He was like the Fabrizio Romano we have today.

But he had a problem... he went to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, he was seen with soccer players and former soccer players... Possibly he overstepped his duties.

I understand that he had direct contacts with almost all the clubs and that's why he had so much information, but something must have happened, he didn't fall for it and the clubs stopped giving him information.

He had some very, very bad years because he became almost a tabloid journalist. And he only commented on rumors and not certainties.

I usually consider what he says, what he once was, and why he has connections, but honestly not much. (Yesterday he also published that Atleti was going for Theo, which is totally impossible).

PS: Chiesa is the best right winger in the world, for me. But after the serious knee injury he had, he still hasn't been able to recover the level he had in 2021. I don't like Theo. He is a very unintelligent player (although with excellent physical and hitting conditions) and he still has a trial pending for some pretty ugly things.

he’s going to end up about half the price of Declan Rice. It’ll be interesting to see who gets the better deal

He's all over the pitch this lad. Proper ankle biter. Him and Joelinton behind Bruno should give the back 4 plenty of protection

A few years ago, when Milan had not yet signed him, the entire football world compared him to Pirlo. Even Pirlo himself said that he thought it was a copy of him.

But Tonali himself ended up saying that he did not feel identified at all with those comparisons and that he believed that he was more like Gattuso.

Lets be honest. He has come here for the money. Its not necessarily a bad thing if he puts the effort in. Its a big opportunity for him to earn some wonga for his family. Its just a job at the end of the day when a player has no ties with a club.

There are a lot of self-proclaimed experts out there (im including journalists in that) who think they know everything. But its just opinions at the end of they day.

They always go for the money though. It's not like the London and Manchester clubs are enticing people with pay cuts.
