I remember watching a game Vs Man City at their place years ago when Kompany was in his prime and I remember our team being tiny in comparison and knew we were going to get humped.

It's class that it's now us and we have Joe, Sven, Big Dan etc in the lineup so this monster from Lazio would be class

What FFP

8 and a half year contract. Pretty risky but if he ends up being a top player, they'll have him locked in on 100k a week which is pretty low.

Not sure why the the player would accept, if he reaches his potential he should be doubling his money instead hell be stuck

That contract is worth over £44m over 8.5 years. Thats now guaranteed even if he goes off the boil or gets a bad injury. Think he'll fine.

It shows that they’re desperately close to breaching FFP and amortising the contract over as long a period as possible.

A 3-4 week injury for Bruno could be a net positive for the season if it encourages the club to splash out on another top creative midfielder and he returns in time for the league cup final

Not for this month but if we get champions league we should put a serious wedge in for Kiernan Tierney . At least as good as Trippier and plays centre back in a 3 for Scotland for those who think we’ll miss Burn’s defensive ability. Zynchenko clearly preferred to him now 👍

Tierney is total sicknote. We'd be better off buying someone who's fairly young, early twenties, and wouldn't mind being Burn's understudy for season or two; much like we're trying to do with Trippier on the other side with interest in players like Fresneda and Ashby. If it ain't broke don't fix it as far as Burn goes. He's in great form and even showing a bit of attacking flair these last handful of matches. Of course if we we're going to pay a significant outlay on a top tier left back that might be different, but I'd imagine we'll add to the midfield first with a holding mid, and either a player in the Maddison mould or a wide forward.

Maybe you’re right about Tierney’s injury issues. But am fairly sure we’ll be signing a top clsss left back this summer. Dan Burn is the soul of this team, he’s one us who’s made it on to the pitch, but he’s 30 👍

Burn will be good backup (I was going to use the word competition there but Sven is a rolls Royce at the mo) for Botman next season. Or a first choice left back. No concerns him playing in a lot of games next season if we get into Europe and have busy schedule. Top bloke and top player giving it his all.

Interesting options, but I'm not sure that CB and 8 are the priority right now. Surely it's DM and full backs?

Canny watch that.

Whenever Gallagher has come on recently for Chelsea he's been a right jack in the box.  All over the place grafting his bollocks off to try and impress Barry.

Do we need another forward?

Would make Wood 4th choice and with Wilson's injury/illness record when is enough, enough. (and he's 31 next month).

Would have thought Depay is on ridiculous wedge though.

the speccy stat merchant isn't as smart as he thinks he is

he got our "number 8s" the wrong way around  - willock usually plays on the left with longstaff on the right side behind almiron

he criticised botman's mobility and thinks we should upgrade schar  - has he not noticed we only conceded 11 goals so far this season???

thanks for sharing though. it's still a good watch and interesting to see what people who don't watch us every week think

Aye I spotted that two about Willock and Longstaff being on the wrong sides.

The point about needing an upgrade at CB, I don't think it's that daft. We've basically got 3 CBs that can come in and play without any drop off in standard. And the third of those is currently our first choice LB....who is difficult to move atm cos of Targett's injury.

So scratch the surface and it's Jamal o'clock: Lascelles and Lewis, and neither of them inspire any confidence. I know Manquillo can fill in at LB, but we need to quickly move past having people who can just fill in if we think we might be in the CL next year.
