OTF 8262
I don't think we'll be forced to sell if we miss champions league. Some players may want to leave but we'll not be in the position where we want to or need to sell them. This is part of why we're selling players this window IMO. The other part is so that if we do get CL then we'll be best positioned to bolster and improve the squad for the additional games.
Rayvin 5868
I'm somewhere between both views. If we go out and strengthen properly this summer, I think the good players stay for one more season. If we stand still, I think Isak/Tonali at least will be off.

Howmanheyman 36086
I'm hoping that this is like the Bobby Robson transitional season where we finished 11th twice but had the basis of a really good side before the right signings pushed us to CL the next season. The difference being our base is higher than Robson's was back then. It's a big gamble though and one that's been forced on us really. I just hope our ducks are all lined up with movement allowance for any unexpected bargains that can't be missed.

Gemmill 49230
Probably Guehi envisaging himself having to horse it back from the halfway line every 3p seconds. Aw look mate. It's a no.
Optimistic Nut 440
Has there been any outrage about Bournemouth signing that kid from their sister club Lorient and loaning him back? Ah wait, it's little old Bournemouth, they won't threaten the big boys long term. If this had been us and a Saudi club however... 5

Kid Dynamite 7539
Speaking of which, why the fuck aren't we using our sister PIF clubs to bring in a loan or two?
Andrew 5104
Based on previous signings I reckon Howe might not be too keen on short term loans. He doesnt give players game time until he considers them ready to play his way, a half season loan might only have that for a few games.
Holden McGroin 7406
True, but he has played some players immediately like Trippier and Isak. Gordon was used a bit as well but he didn’t flourish until the next season. Edited February 4 by Holden McGroin

As subtle as a brick. Thick too. 'Have you ever played for Liverpool reserves? Did you ever sit on Liverpool football club's bench? Maybe you even made the odd football league cup appearance? Do you have a Scouse accent? Here at sky sports we're actively recruiting for people just like you!"
