Still has a few years to run on his contract also.

(Being serious here) The difference between receiving a bid for Miggy and a bid for Kelly is that we have been waiting for, and expecting, a bid for Miggy and hopefully have a plan in place for this month to quickly turn that cash over into a replacement. To the extent where you could probably say that if we haven't got everything in place to do the above, someone hasn't been doing their job.
Gemmill 47715 Posted yesterday at 09:16 Share Posted yesterday at 09:16 Hope says it's bye bye for Miggy. This is good news and good money. Even if we don't replace him, he basically offers nothing there anyway. You could move Tino up the line and put Trippier in at right back at a push.

thebrokendoll 9715 Posted yesterday at 09:28 Share Posted yesterday at 09:28 the best money we could spend this month would be to double isak's wages.

I've fancied seeing if we could turn Tino into a right-sided Bale. Has the physical attributes.

He is very rusty at the moment but is good in the press and his build up play is fine. He is just a bad finisher. Livramento as RW won't work. They do however have "DEFENSIVE INJURY CRISIS" because it's such a specialised position. There's a physical profile that has to be met, and the player needs to be drilled in that position. Stick any cunt with one working leg on the wing and they can fill in for 2025 Miguel Almiron.
LongTimeAdmirer 1304 Posted yesterday at 09:46 Share Posted yesterday at 09:46 Drop some of that 70mil from the summer on a damn RW already, had 5 months to line up targets and get a conversation started with the opposite club.

This is astonishing. I mean, we can play Joelinton CB if we need to. He might not be very good but that doesn’t matter. I understand your hatred for his right foot and we all want to see him moved on but the squad will be weaker without him.
Gemmill 47715 Posted yesterday at 09:56 Share Posted yesterday at 09:56 So would you like to keep him then? I've made my argument, my position is clear. You're turning yourself inside out trying to make out that there's equivalence between the two situations, just to score a point. We're fucking DESPERATE to sell Miggy. The bid is decent money, and it's from the MLS who have a different season to us so arguably this isn't repeatable in the summer if we wait. I don't think we lose much at all if he goes, but if you want to argue that the contribution of 2025 Miguel Almiron is somehow something we can't live without, then fine. I would MUCH prefer that we replaced him this window, and I do think that arguably someone at the club has dropped the ball if he goes and we don't replace him, cos this isn't a bolt out of the blue bid. But let's see what happens.

Gemmill 47715 Posted yesterday at 10:02 Share Posted yesterday at 10:02 I agree Howe would want him replaced. We all would. I'd still let him go whatever happens this window though, in part cos I would like never to have to see him play for us again.
Holden McGroin 7048 Posted yesterday at 10:02 Share Posted yesterday at 10:02 I’m just flabbergasted that you spent all yesterday suggesting we don’t sell our 5th (of about 7) choice CB because we might be short then sell 1 of our 2 RWs. 😁 You’re then trying to back up the argument by saying he hasn’t played well recently (which is true) but this again could be used to beat Kelly with. I guess we just see what Big Mitch does.
