This week is going to be interesting. Players we're hoping for outward movement/closure on:

- Trippier

- Almiron

- Targett

- Fraser

- Hayden

- Dubravka / Vlachodimos

- Jamal Lewis

With loans for Ashby, Kuol and Harrison, none of which have squad numbers iirc

transfer window is gathering pace towards the inevitable SLAM.

we've bought a goalkeeper for £24m who was third choice at a team that was flirting with relegation last season and dug another fucker up from the grave. failed seemingly to even try to upgrade on almiron while simultaneously off loading to one of our direct competitors for a europeam place possibly the brightest young prospect on the right wing the world has ever known.

not only that, we've shipped out the geordie maradonna for a fraction of the price the mackems are guaranteed to get for some cunt called clarke who no fuckers ever heard of.

come back mikey lad and bring your mate thumbheed with you.

I for one never had a bad word to say about yous.

edit..... and how could I forget?  we've spent nearly a month putting in over 100 bids for a central defender in 50p increments!

I bet he is glad as they don’t have a game tonight. That would be some top level ghosting.

They are playing Servette on Thursday.

Did Sterling get in? I’d imagine there are quite a few big hitters missing out.

PSR commitment for the next 6 years.

Committed to €105m for the next 2 years. The hope is we give Gordon, Isak, Tonali contract extensions to reduce the amount we're committed to spending each year. Maybe Barnes too. Obviously this doesn't account for the amount we're paying in wages on the likes of Fraser, Hayden, Lewis etc.

There's a lot of shit that we really need off our books. A lot of Shit.

Why is Joelinton (for example) a PSR cost (other than wages) he’s bought, paid for and amortised??

Nah, it’s not the final squad yet but he didn’t.

Just checked Tosin, Sterling, Chilwell and Fofana all missing out so far

We're cautious with our signings because we know how detrimental it is to our bottom line to have deadwood on big contracts hanging around and as Howe has said so many times we won't buy for the sake of it, they have to improve our team/bring something new. Something new like an overpriced Greek shot stopper apparently*

* Not undermining Eddie, that's beyond his control and he wasn't happy about all of that, most notably Anderson.

They could probably name a squad for the Pl and a completely squad for the Euro league.

I suspect we've spread the remaining 12months we owed on him over the length of his new contract extension.

Still doesn't explain the low Tino payments!

Ashby has a squad number tbf, so I expect he’s there in case we sell Trips.

As I said when all this bollocks started, it would have been nice to get Guehi as a statement signing but I am actually not fuzzed about the likely failure. It will hurt Crystal Palace more than us when they will have to sell him for less eventually.

Cognitive dissonance aaall ower the shop.

He was our best player during the Euros. We need a RCB as a long term replacement for Schar, and Guehi would have been a perfect statement signing ala Bruno and Isak.

We've been left with egg on our face and whoever we end up with will know they were second choice.

And don't get me started on starting ANOTHER season with the fucking heedless chicken rampaging down the right wing and then turning around and running back in the other direction
