Thing is, private or not, you don't stay/get kept in hospital unless you're not well enough to go home. If nowt else you'd want to be in your own home yourself if you could.

Private care is all good and well if you want a boob job or you want to jump the queue for a dermatology appointment. But they're all run by NHS doctors on their days off. If you're genuinely fucked and need round the clock care then you're better off in an NHS hospital with every specialty working 24/7 and an intensive care unit next door if the shit hits the fan

I was lucky to be covered for a minor op a few years back private and the hospital was top. But then I was in for a day.
