. There’s a good chance he’s in private care and it might not have led to a hospitalisation normally and this is precautionary. Because I think it would’ve been leaked sooner if he was in somewhere like the RVI.

He thanked the NHS in his statement. Our Eddie ain't no Tory.

I asked my lass and apparently it’s a severe chest infection. Caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Treatable with antibiotics. It can lead to further complications like the lung scarring others have mentioned. In rare cases it can be fatal but that’s usually when there are other underlying conditions. He should make a full recovery. There’s a good chance he’s in private care and it might not have led to a hospitalisation normally and this is precautionary. He did specifically thank the NHS in his statement mind. You would think club would have him in private care, but that said, a Dr acquaintance of mine told me awhile back that for some conditions the NHS is better than private as they have dedicated teams who deal with some things day to day, every day, whereas private tends to be "who's on the team today".

I'm sure Mad Dog and co. will hold down the fort in his absence. It's a wonderful bonus having a two man team like Howe-Tindall. In this situation Mad Dog basically can apply a "What Would Eddie Do" principle in the boss's absence and get it basically spot on every time. If the ManU performance is anything to go on we'll be absolutely okay in Howe's absence for another week or so.

Thank God it's you saying this. If it had've been Gemmill we'd be a week away from Tindall claiming to be the greatest manager in PL history and holding up a letter from Bruno apologising for shagging Tonali's lass.

Private hospitals don't have an A&E, do they?

My sister in law seems to catch pneumonia after every cold, covid or flu virus she gets - It's fucking awful like and I think she's had a couple of trips to hospital as a result but never a prolonged stay. She's recovered pretty quickly with antibiotics every time too. I think it flattens you for a few days mind, I reckon we'll be lucky to see Howe doing anything before season's end. But then again Howe is a very fit and healthy bloke for 47 so could be back at his tactics board in a week once he double doses his first lot of tablets.

Let's just hope Gemmil doesn't expect a speedy recovery or Howe might be the next name getting punned to fuck in the "Yes Gemmill" thread.

That's my concern too.

More like "is your private doctor in today or on the golf course? Because he won't want anyone else treating his patients and losing fees as a result."

My Leicester mate reckons Barnes is class and we got the best player when they sold Teilemans and Maddison all at the same time.

I used to dread Barnes whenever we played them. When he's in the mood he's a right pain in the arse.
