Wise moves to pass up Ramsey and Alli imo, we've got Bruno and both will be on ludicrous wages. Any word on Zapata?

not for a few days, i don't think. only forward options mentioned today really have been ekitike (off) and lingard (tbc)

bit pissed off with the etitike deal going tits up. appreciate the kid was probably being bought as one for the future, but would've been another option up front.

remain underwhelmed with wood and can't help but be concerned with the lack of goals in the team.

I agree, I don't think the job's finished until we've brought in another forward.

lingard is the big one now ekitike is off  - sign him on top of the rest and the window has been a triumph

Let's be honest, no real Newcastle fan will care if we miss out on Ekitike - the chances of him becoming a worldie are low and if he does we can always revisit the situation.

We want Lingard in, if they lower the loan amount to £10m total (upfront + survival fee), we should just bite the bullet.

Some people have said he'd choose West Ham over us - for a permanent I'd agree - for a 6 month loan, I'm pretty confident he chooses us for one reason, Kieran Trippier (they're good mates).

so the one's who would've liked to see the kid signed are just pretendy supporters?

He could prefer West Ham all he wants, but the chances that Manure would let him go to a direct rival for top four seems slim.

is it generous to call west ham a direct rival? sign of how far man u have fallen, i suppose

They are for this season at least on the basis of the table and general form. The 'ammers getting Lingard could conceivably have a big influence on their final position, if he were to reproduce the same form as he did for them last time.

Well there goes my theory 😂 I honestly think that's a bizarre move from Manure. He could easily be the difference between them or West Ham getting the final Champions League spot. Oh well, if we have other targets we could have a very interesting end to the window.
