I’ve got a bit of time for him on the basis we’ve had fuck all else in terms of someone who can beat a man / create something out of nothing. But the fact he fell over himself to praise the laziest fucking manager in the game speaks volumes imo.

Aye, just enjoyed having his ego pandered to and being the main man, by the look of it.

Genuinely, if we had a fairly utilitarian winger, prepared to press, track back, play the easy ball, and capable of putting a good cross in, that would do for me over his endless fucking no end product nonsense. At least for the time being.

Couldn't agree more.

And the days off and training being less than taxing and not having to sit through long sessions of tactical analysis. It just smacks a bit of someone happy to coast along rather than someone taking huge pride in their profession

I was only a young teen but remember Paul Stephenson being a winger for us who could beat a full back but let the full back get back up and have another go at getting the ball back. He had the skill but not the pace. ASM has both but unfortunately has a brain the size of a pea when it comes to decision making. Blatantly indulged by the cabbage so no surprise he was wounded when he was sacked.

Bottom line he needs to realise he's a team player

Not a surprise ASM was first down the tunnel.  He's a fucking fanny and needs to be shot of.

He's a bit emotional but that doesn't make him a bad guy or a poor player. Yeah it's not the best sort of behaviour, yeah it might be a concern as time moves on, but let's not start turning on players who are on the team sheet every week. While this sort of stuff isn't great, and neither were his comments about Bruce, he's said and done a lot in the past that make me think he's a solid fella.

Massive reaction needed against Watford. I trust Howe to get it out of them. If we can have a couple of new names on the team sheet, all the better.

That's the hope, any pats on the back of a good performance v Man U and complacency put in it's place by that showing today. If they use it right I'll live with it when I've calmed down but some of these look shot.

He basically told 50,000 fans to fuck off by not acknowledging them.

Just back and fucking hell. Longstaff put in a performance barely above Sunday League level, £1m was about 500k too much. You could do a swap for him and say, Davies, with Everton and you’d end up with a much better side of the bargain. Enough has been said about ASM but the amount of loose touches and over hit passes was a complete embarrassment from everyone. At one point, Schar overhit a pass to Trippier by about 35 yards. Just basic stuff that is completely lacking in all of them.

On the plus side, Trippier’s actual ability stood out like a sore thumb, he’s head and shoulders above this shower. It was like a Soccer Aid game and he was the one player playing who had only retired 6 weeks previous.

As for the manager, I’m sorry like but if Steve Bruce sets that team up today, he’s getting pelters. Repeated crosses to nobody, players played wildly out of position, a left back brought on rather than your young striker at 0-1, all baffling decisions. Aside from Joelinton, he’s getting very little more out of this lot, if you ask me and I truly hope it’s because this lot are beyond help

Good post.Little Ed must realise that we have one defender up to the job,and no one else anywhere near good enough.Saying that, everyone for years should have know we have shite defenders in the squad.Ritchie back in his familiar,or is it his unfamiliar, left back roll didn’t work.He has to be played further up the field to make an impact ( for us) .

If he concentrated on playing football as much as he did on making a game up based on Greek Mythology or fucking about on Twitter I would let it slide.  But he DOESNT FUCKING DELIVER.

ASM is an enigma in the mould of Robert. Polarises opinion.

I think Arsenal must have sold us Willocks twin brother. Can't quite believe how poor he's been since he signed. Needs to show some guts and start putting some effort in like he did last season.

Willock is second season Kenedy.

He has the talent, he's already shown that but either he doesn't want to be here, or his contract has sucked his enthusiasm. I know he was playing injured but as far as I know he's over that and therefore should be fighting to start games.
