Southampton aren't happy apparently. Imagine how they're gonna feel when Trippier curls a free kick into the top corner from 25 yards out in the rescheduled fixture.

This is when we buy James Ward Prowse from them tbh. I’m getting a good laugh at all the people saying Southampton have a point - nah they’re just trying to gain their own advantage by playing a side that has about 11 outfield players.

I just noticed too, Everton got shafted by this  I forgot we hadn’t played them yet this season so they have to play us twice post January.

 I do enjoy fans getting riled up and telling us basically exactly what we are doing as if any Newcastle fan gives a flying fuck.

We definitely should just really hamper our own chances by not using the option made available to us. We should also do this to maintain the fairness right? Playing sides like Southampton who voted in a cartel to block our club legitimately getting new sponsors. Funny how when the rules help us everyone wants to cry despite their clubs willingly manipulating and bending rules to try and hurt our club. I hope we buy a whole new squad and batter these wankers 5-0.

Aye. Even if it's as cynical as they're all claiming it is - and I suspect it is - they can't stack up a 19 club conspiracy to try and get us relegated, agree not to sell us players, and then bitch on about us using whatever is at our disposal to avoid that outcome.

Welcome to the Premier League motherfuckers, there is no moral high ground.

Given that Wilson's injury isn't looking as serious as first feared he may only miss a couple of games, given the postponements 😁 A couple of games we can hopefully give to whatever forward we buy in the window to allow him to bed in. I was just saying to a mate, can you imagine Trippier and Digne on the freekicks. Right foot and left foot respectively, both absolute wands. Fingers crossed on both of them obviously. Seems as if Trippier is a bit more likely than Digne given respective ages, and the fact that Trippier has worked under Howe before. Chelsea are also supposedly sniffing around Digne as cover for Chilwell, but would only want him on loan while we supposedly would pay the 25 million up front.

I’m hearing about Bissouma too (although he has the sexual assault allegation / charges(?)), still hearing Diego Carlos, Botman, Digne as well. Schick, Nketiah, and Dembele (Moussa) as striker options. Fingers crossed we can get some of these lot in.

Interesting. How do they get around that? Or are they just expecting a fine or something minor?

Apparently Nigeria missed the deadline to inform the club of the call up so they’re okay. It’s not exactly in the spirit of the game and I think the player wants to go but technically they’re within their rights.

I've seen a lot of Bissouma and he is absolutely the real deal.  If a bit rapey

Imagine Spurs not releasing Kane for a tournament.  I know slightly different as it's during the season, but fuck me.

Wright thinks it’s racism. It’s nothing of the sort, it’s the inconvenience of putting an international tournament right in the middle of the domestic seasons every two years.

However, clubs are well aware of the fact when signing African players so they can’t act too surprised when this happens.

FIFA don't have much of leg to stand on either anymore of course, given the venue and timing the of the next WC. Plus the fact that they want a WC every two years. Or at least they seem in favour of Wenger's plan.
