Shelvey might cover a lot of ground, but he does it slowly. If Howe's going to play a pressing game, he's going to find it hard to get Shelvey on board. If you watch him, his tackles are always a second or two late, he just doesn't have the acceleration to get his foot in on time. That's what Howe seemed to be trying to get across to them.
